Sorry I have been missing, when I read some of my posts back they just seemed to be so repetitive, and then time just seems to race by. My Christmas is more or less sorted. I'm going to youngest dds for the actual day, well until mid afternoon when they are due at the in laws, then I will be having a quiet night with a few g&ts and a box of chocs!!!

Today my dd, youngest dgs and I went for our annual outing and lunch together which was lovely, pricey but really worth it, and its only once a year.

Last week I had my booster jab and it made me feel really poorly for a couple of days, I was fine with the other ones so that was a bit of a shock but I got over it and thankful that it had been done.

Still have pup here but the wall is being finished off tomorrow at their house, and it just a needs painting etc before he goes back home. I will really miss him but won't be getting one. He's cuddled up to me as I'm sitting on the settee typing this!! My/dgds hamster died last week, which was sad but he had a good life here and he was two years old which is about a normal life span for a hamster so rest in peace little man, he was the friendliest little hamster you could have had and never bit!!

The money side of things is still all within budgets so it's all good and as I gave dds money for dgc, pressies keep appearing here for me to wrap up for them! I really dislike wrapping so a couple of years ago I bought bags and loads of tissue paper and that solved that problem, I get the bags back so it's just a matter of refilling them!!!! Cheating I  know but ....

Anyway thanks for reading and I will try to post more regularly. I still have a few meals to go to and little jaunts out so I few things to look forwards to.

  • I’m always worried my posts are repetitive, but I never think anyone else’s are.
Sorry about your hamster 🐹 They don’t live long ☹️
Your Christmas sounds ideal, family time and some alone time to watch what you want…perfect!

I worry mine are repetitive too (especially with the deja vu of losing my job) but I suppose that is part and parcel of a diary.
Sorry to hear about the hamster, having pets is a lovely thing, and whilst it is sad when they pass on at least you know they had a good life with you.
Your Christmas plans sound lovely, a nice mix of company and g&ts <3

    Thanks you two  :)

Today was 'looking after dgs' day, so I was up early and organised as I out everything ready last night. It rained all day, bar the 30mins when I picked dgd up from school - I was very lucky I reckon. The wall they have had built, (between dining room and front room) makes such a difference, for the better I reckon and when it's all been painted it'll look even better still. Pup behaved himself with their Xmas tree and it was still in one piece when we left, thank goodness.

So no money spent and nothing bought online, so that's about it really and another day of fun tomorrow!!!

What you have to think is, first and foremost, your diary is for you. You’re not here to entertain folks it’s to keep yourself on track. I’ve kept a diary on here for years and it started off very non eventful then escalated into far more eventful than I’d ever want. I prefer non eventful, I can cope with being boring 😆

Never boring.   I always read and love to find out how you are getting on.
  • The wall sounds a good idea. I’m not a fan of open plan. It looks lovely, but I’m a bit too untidy for it and it’s harder to keep warm. It seems to have been snowing in some places, so the rain could have been worse.
