Lovely to hear from you nanny. That all sounds perfect apart from the unavoidable overspend. It really is annoying when you spend more, but don’t actually get more 😖 The News keeps saying food inflation is slowing right down, but it doesn’t decrease in price again so it doesn’t help as much as they like to shout about.I love coffee and walnut cake 🍰Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

WinterWarrior - it took me a while to realise falling inflation doesn't mean falling prices, say inflation is 3% that means food, bills etc are still going up by that 3%!! I'm quite a savvy person but the way falling inflation is reported it makes you think prices are falling not going up slower🙁 silly me, I thought the corporations were on our side not their shareholders🤣🤣🤣

Today I have been going through what money I have available until pay day as I don't want to be 'borrowing' money from other accounts, the robbing Peter to pay Paul has to stop, otherwise I'll have nothing left to pay for anything! So a short sharp shock is what's needed, I'm not going back to 'borrowing' off myself again, been there done that and learnt my lesson, I have to realise that the thieving gvt/ corporations want all my money one way or another and leave me hungry and penniless - well they're not going to win - crikey excuse the rant!!
Anyway I've worked out how much I have left to spend on food etc but I'm determined not to use it all, I have two car journeys to make so that will use the fuel that's in the car, so if I need to go anywhere else the bus pass will be used or my legs and trolley will be used.
On the food front I will eat up what I have in the fridge and use some of the hm meals in the freezer as well. The doggie is going home tomorrow so I will be able to get out my sewing again and explore some other local walks to suss them out to pass the time, as well as the Lottie and gardening 🙂 and cleaning (I suppose😕)
So that's my thoughts from today, as long as I have no unexpected outgoings I should be ok, but I still have to overall the monthly budget to make it work for me and I have a feeling it'll change a few times before that's achieved.
On that note I'll go, it's fat club day, at least that's been paid for to cover the next few weeks 🙂

Hi everyone
One car journey done to daughter's for a visit and to take pup back so the fuel has to last just one more longer journey. The tank indicator says I have enough in the tank for 90 miles so there is enough but I don't like going too low before I refill it. I only have to last out until Wednesday morning so I'm hoping I'll be ok and I will take the trolley to the nearest food shop if needs be.
I've lost another 2 1/2 lbs this week according to the scales at fat club so it's creeping up to my 3 1/2 stone weight loss so I'm very happy with that as that's 5 lbs in total in the last two weeks 🙂 not too much to lose now, so feeling really 😁
No money has been spent today and I had food in to eat already, so for lunch (salad) and tea (stir fry) so that's was fine. I have some mushrooms to finish off tomorrow in something probably a curry of some sort at tea time and the usual salad at lunchtime.
Daughter treated me to a coffee out and we both resisted the yummy looking cakes! Not that she has to watch her weight 🤣 unlike me.
Tomorrow (Friday) I'll be doing some cleaning around the house and hopefully the washing machine will be in action if the weather isn't too bad and I'm planning on doing at least an hour's sewing in the afternoon. So hopefully that will keep me busy and having another spend free day.
Right off to bed now, it seems very 'still' here without the pup, I think I miss him more than he misses me but that's how it should be as he's with his family 😕

Well done on your weight loss Nannyg, that is a very impressive amount to have lost!3

Wow that's a fantastic weight loss, well done. I still think you need your own furry friend to keep you company. I recently had a week on my own as both my hubby and daughter were unwell in hospital at the same time. I don't know how I would've coped without my dog and cats for company.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Well done on the weight loss, that’s amazing! There are plenty of older rescue dogs and cats that are crying out to be companions and wouldn’t take any house training. You have an ideal lifestyle for a furry friend. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

OpalGirl - thank you, it's taken time but I'm nearly there now, it hasn't been easy but I feel it has been a complete lifestyle change - a much better diet, exercise and generally looking after myself better than I was before 🙂
