Glad to hear that the operation has been a success albeit you need to visit the clinic weekly until your other eye is done. It's brilliant being able to see properly again isn't it? I'm having my other eye done a week tomorrow - will be glad when it's done and I'll only need reading glasses (hopefully!).

What a lovely family you have! And I'm happy for you now your eye is spot on again. Perhaps having had a difficult experience they can take note and make it easier for you next time?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Sun_Addict - i can much better than I thought I would, and I've got into a good routine with the medication now, I do hate taking tablets etc but there's a reason why and it's only for a couple of weeks. I'm on my own now and enjoying the peace😃

joedenise - I'll be relieved as well when the second ones done, it's all been really quick. Hopefully when the first ones signed off the other one will be very soon afterwards. My dds mil got her date for the second eye when she went for her first eye sign off, and only had to wait a week!!!!!

Cherryfudge - from what I gather there's no real reason it should happen again and the weekly visit is to keep check on both eyes, so hopefully the next one will be much easier (and less painful). 🙂

Small update as I haven't really been doing anything or going anywhere. I didn't go on the dog walk the other day I really couldn't face it🙁 but I'm feeling fine and feel as if I could scale Everest and see it clearly now🤣 - well with one eye anyway! It is really marvelous to see so clear with one eye and the funny thing is when I want to read I use the eye that's not done, they seem to work independently when needed 🤣 the only thing is I can see all the imperfections everywhere-all the grubby bits I've missed when cleaning etc 🙂
I've been cooking this morning making a couple of tagines for the freezer, so I've got a bit of Tetris to play when they've cooled off.
Eldest DD has been to the Lottie and says it's been overtaken by weeds! Its all this rain we've been having here, she was in London the other day, sent me photos and it was so sunny there, at the same time it was raining here!! So when I'm finally driving I'll have my work cut out for me over winter to get it back into shape. It should be ok as long as the inspectors don't visit before I can get down there as it's council run and we never know when a visit is planned.
So plans for the next few days are very few! Tomorrow I will have to venture out and get some fresh air and buy some bits (I don't really need anything yet but ...) nothing too heavy though, but I do need to get out of the house for a while to stretch my legs I'm starting to go a bit stir crazy 🤣🤣
No money spent and I've not been anywhere to get any cash since before payday, I've still got a bit left from last month so I can use that if needs be. So that's it for today, dgd is coming Thursday evening and staying until Friday evening so hopefully she'll make her chocolate chip cookies, before I eat the chocolate!!

So what have I been doing today, well I woke up this morning feeling ready to meet the world, so got up made a coffee, had a shower and hair wash and got a load of washing in and then hung it outside in the sun. I was careful and took my time.
Made tomato soup, to which I added a handful of lentils to thicken it up and got my old bread maker out to see if it still works - and it does! So I had soup and a warm crust off the end of the loaf for lunch and then walked down into town to buy a new charging cable for my iPad! I accidently trod on it last night and broke it 🙁 but luckily was able to buy one, as well as a few bits of food for more freezer meals! Which came to £8.56 so it wasn't too bad and it would have been less if I had been watching where I was walking last night 🤣.
Had a garden risotto for my tea and just settled down to come on here and to have a read. I'm going to the eye clinic tomorrow for an eye test and see how my eye is, eldest DD is taking me but as it as going to take a couple of hours I'll see if there's a bus back home, if not she will come and pick me up.
I enjoyed my walk and took my shopping trolley with me luckily, but had to wear my sun glasses as it was a bit bright and I wasn't wearing my normal reactive glasses. So I will go and make another coffee and get my book down.

I'm still wearing sunglasses when I go out if it's bright and that's a month since I had my eye done - final day of eye drops today! Next lot start on Monday after I've had my left eye done! Just hoping I don't have to use them 4 times a day for 4 weeks next time!

joedenise - good luck for Monday, you're homeward bound now so bet you can't wait to have them both done and if you have to be have drops for another 4 weeks it'll be worth it🙂

Thanks @nannygladys. You're right I'll be glad when they're both done. How's your eye? Are the hospital happy with it now?
