Hi all
Loonng day at the paid stuff, finished at 9pm. Managed to run the hoover around and have a bit of a tidy up before I started though, also managed 1/2 hour exercise class first thing.
Thanks Round, I survived. Tomorrow morning is a tricky meeting with a member of staff, will be glad when thats over.

Even though I didn't manage to complete my short list, I am pleased that I have had a productive and enjoyable day. I worked really hard for most of the morning in the front garden, clearing the weeds from the paths and the block paving on the parking area and cutting back shrubs. DH helped by posting a package for me and buying the milk, and Rosie supervised (i.e. sunbathed right where I needed to sweep
) The weather was kind to us here and we didn't have any rain all day, so 10 Old Wives joined me for "cuppas in the courtyard" for a couple of hours this afternoon - it was good to catch up at our first meeting for a year (I missed the last one). We're all a bit older and greyer and a bit more frazzled, but we know we are very lucky to still have our group intact.
The migraine settled down during the day but is still grumbling a bit in the background.
Tomorrow morning I must make the phonecalls and send some emails I didn't get to cross off the list today.
Good luck with your tricky meeting, YL x

Went for a run this morning.
Had Zoom meeting with young man I'd assessed a few years ago, wanting advice.
Did good kitchen clean including taking all plants off windowsills and cleaning sills, wiped appliances I didn't get to last week.
Did more money moving.
Mr N had a telephone consultation with eye surgeon; we no longer have to isolate. He can do a few more things such as light gardening but no gym/motor bike/heavy lifting for another couple of weeks. On the strength of that, we have booked 4 days in north Norfolk in a couple of weeks' time for some beach walking/bird watching/lounging around in someone else's garden while they cook breakfast for us.. Mr N's new camera arrives tomorrow so he will be able to practice.
Am getting on well with email culling although other admin tasks got put aside while I trawled around for accommodation; think I got the last B&B in the world (at least, the last one we can afford).
Lots of rain this afternoon, huge thunderstorm, so at least I needn't water the garden although I suspect a lot of things will be flattened.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning everyone, busy day here today, I have lunch out with my work colleagues to chat about next year. I also have to rush back from that to take the cat to the vet.
I'm up showered and looking presentable
Bed made, clothes picked up
DW loaded

Cats pestering me as cat flapis locked shut and there is no food!
Looks like DD1 will have plenty of work vaccinating people as president announced last night that most places will require 'pass sanitaire' basically prove you are double jabbed or negative pcr test.
Can hear white cat hitting the cat flap, better go and stop him before he breaks it. The shame is he could go out. Just need to keep orange on in.
I've conceeded and let white one out. Orange is now happy lying on half my keyboard.
Have a good day, hopefully home this afternoon to fly11 -
Morning all,
Thank you for the lists. Yesterday was pretty much a non event day for flying - long day at work, Mr M called on my way home to ask if they could deliver the shopping early. Good, yes, but then had to give instructions to DH. Sorted most of the shopping when I got in, cooked dinner, DD’s friend came and asked if she could stay the night, so I retreated to my bedroom with my book for the evening (not really complaining, as it was a luxury!), which helpfully meant that I couldn’t see the ironing pile.
DH has today off work again - take 2 for getting the paint so that I can crack on with the small bedroom. He has left the house for big town, so that is a promising sign. I still have the ironing pile. DD wants to go to small town to pick up a couple of bits, I need to get a zip in case I ever actually start to sew the dressmaking that I cut out weeks ago.
Glad to hear Mr Narc0 is improving. Enjoy your break in a most beautiful part of the country.
Hugs to all, especially Dancemum, YL and Ionafan xx10 -

well yesterday was dramatic...
two bubbles closed then I was sent home coughing. Definitely not right - running a temperature (given I have a wet forehead) and a minor headache and sore throat but I'm now confined to barracks since I had my PCR test at the walk in. Turns out turnaround here in the town is MUCH slower than 'next door' in the City next to where I work. I have a box of lateral flow tests now but must have a -ve PCR before I can return.
