Well it's Friday...
house is a tip and likely to remain so for the foreseeable. It's hot, fan on in bedroom not blowing at me directly as it triggers arthritis or rheumatism. *heads off to google*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thanks for all the good wishes; Mr N feels a lot better today. He's had no discomfort from the eye and has fairly happily pottered around. In fact he spent a lot of time researching then ordering a new camera in readiness for the return to birdwatching as his current one is temperamental - sometimes beaten by my phone camera to get a decent shot. BIL and I said we'd contribute as Mr N's birthday (70th - eek) in August, plus I found one shop did cashback for one of the lenses. At least once the new kit arrives next week he can play with it, as long as he takes shots straight ahead or looking up rather than down.
Thanks too re my new contract. I read through the feedback which is just the various scores we got for qualifications, cost, availability, references and sustainability. It sounds as if "candidate C" was pushing their luck, whoever they were , as they scored 25/40 for qualifications and 2/10 for references.....
Did a pile of washing up this morning.
Fed and watered all plants in greenhouse or pots.
Delivered a zoom lesson.
Booked another Zoom meeting, seems a lad I assessed 5 years ago has had issues and would like advice.
Harvested some rhubarb and made an oat coconut crumble with it.
Had a chat with my brother as it's his birthday and he's alone in Scotland, having just finished one 2-week event and about to start another (1 week) before his wife joins him for a few days in Yorkshire.
Did a bit of basic tidying but seemed to spend a lot of the day resting in sympathy with Mr N.
have a good weekend everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning xx
Where is everyone? Have I missed the flylady bus trip again? Or maybe you are all lost in the fog. Or having a well earned lie in?
My bed is made and my first brew has been savoured. Initial plan is to savour another brew, then have a shower and get dressed.
- throw out flowers
- feed the birds
- put out the rubbish and recycling
- put away pots that were LTD
- clear airer and put it away
Hugs and oodles of love to you all.

Morning all. It's a long time since I have been woken by my alarm! Feeling better for a decent night's sleep - I woke briefly before it was light, re-built my heap of pillows and got straight back off to sleep
So far this morning I have
- made a cuppa and read for half an hour
- opened windows and aired upstairs
- eaten breakfast
- S&S'd the kitchen
- cut DH's hair (and he has trimmed round the back of my neck)
The plan for this morning is to tidy up the front garden, just in case the weather stays dry long enough for the Old Wives to meet here on Monday afternoon - though the weather fronts seem to have changed direction yet again and the forecasters change their minds every half hour. DH has agreed to help trim the tall bushes. I will leave my shower until later because there is lots of dust outside: we are on sandy soil which dries out very quickly.
DH is going wargaming this afternoon, so after I've taken Rosie for her walk I shall either try to carry on gardening or play with the ancestors.
Hope everyone gets a good rest at some point today xx10
