Girls banished..
OH signed the paperwork for the EHCP for Dot.
Today I am in a flap ...
Nails at 10:15
Then I have to get the girls to swimming at 4.. apparently they are to go in their swimmies.. straight from school? I'm not sure how to do that.. they may end up getting changed in the car!! Only one parent per child.. thats ok.. 4 children/2 parents.. now I am having a blue fit because only 2 children at a time are allowed in the changing rooms.. but I have 4.. (2 groups of 6 children in total so 12 children max) .. but to only use changing room IF WE NEED TO!!!! who goes home in their wet gear? I'm thinking take pj's to put on after swimming.. Then there is the pointless mask hysteria.. I get so stressed not being able to hear anyone speaking. It's just different which is why I am anxious about it and I don't need confrontation.
We both need to be there because Dot is hard work..
The torrential rain yesterday has washed the sky clean today so my washing shuld actually dry.. yippee!!! I do have more to hang out so OH can do that.

Morning all. Hope you've all had a better start today, especially pigpen & co.
Before breakfast I
- checked my own finances and updated some of the church accounts.
- dealt with DH's leg and sent him off to SW.
- ate breakfast, showered and dressed, and made my bed.
Today's essentials:
- send emails and make 2 phonecalls
- deliver a birthday card to a 90-year-old
- take Rosie for her walk
- decide on what we're having for lunch and tea
Things I really want to achieve today:
- log onto a website and see if I have access to certain vital information
- make 3 more phonecalls
- FUPA yesterday's washing (it needs another short blast in the TD to get it bone dry - showers are forecast throughout the day here)
- dust and hoover all through downstairs; steam mop kitchen
- clean the ensuite and cloakroom thoroughly
- clear the spare bed of paperwork
Other things I'd like to achieve today but might have to postpone until tomorrow:
- clean kitchen, DR and LR windows
- empty the last 3 big pots of bulbs and re-plant with geraniums (might need to buy a few extra bedding plants, which the greengrocer is selling off cheap)
- cut the too-tight cuff off a pair of too-long lightweight trousers and re-hem
I'm in the mood to get things done, so let's see what I can actually achieve....
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx10 -
Happy Belated Birthday Madamoiselle 🎉🥳, sorry I forgot honey.
Thank you for the lists Valli
Morning all. Am awake, in fact have been awake since 6.30am, but on the sofa. Am hoping my energy levels make a small return today just for me to do a few things. Plus I need to go to SW tonight..I have a certificate to collect...lolThankfully I'm not as bad as I was last week but it's taking its time to go away.Another bit of good news my Covid test came back negative yesterday so that's a relief 🥰. So God knows what I have gone down with, some virus thingy probably. It's bloody horrible and is knocking me out and taking a long time to recover from 🙁🙁Anyway the weather is not very nice outside, it feels like winter, so I'll take advantage of the naff/cooler weather and do a small bit of housework. My list:* Dark wash load*HH ironing (or however long my body lets me..lol)* Change the bedding*Pay bills*Nip to co-op to get money out for SW tonight*Slimming WorldThink that's enough...lolRound I'm going to take something from your list and drink more water/liquids. I'm a right terror for not drinking enough 🙁Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Good evening!
Belated Happy Birthday wishes to Mademoiselle for yesterday! It was my birthday too!! I hope you had a better day than me!
I am on 'holiday' this week - I'm sorry but I am going to moan, scroll past if you want!I am away with DH, my Mum, MiL & SiL. It was not what I would have chosen for one of my only 2 weeks off this year! DH & I were planning to go away, then he said he would like to take his mum. I can't refuse because at 91 you don't know how many opportunities we are going to have. So I asked my mum too, because otherwise I would have no-one to talk to!! Then, after I had booked it, I was told SiL was coming too! Luckily, the house is just about big enough. However, one of the 6 beds is a top bunk, with no bottom bunk!! Neither of the mums can get up there
(my mum is 81, but probably less agile than MiL) They are sleeping all 3 in one room, my mum in the single & the other 2 sharing a double!! I don't like to moan, but this was not the way I wanted to spend my week off, or my birthday
MiL & SiL are lovely, but they grate on me when spending all day (5 days!) with them! To top it all, apparently grumpy dog is not well at home. DS is now off for the rest of the week, so at least he can let him if he needs to 'go'. If he is no better Friday we will take him to the vets (again!). They must be missing us as we haven't been there for a couple of weeks!!
On the plus side, we popped into DD1's yesterday to see her, which was nice. I may pop over there tomorrow afternoon/evening, while the footie is on. I can't watch DH get agitated, and MiL & SiL shrieking!! Hopefully the roads will be quiet
Rain here this morning, so we have spent the day looking round Bakewell, Matlock & Ashbourne, and looking at scenery between them. Luckily it cheered up this afternoon.
Flying - I put on the DW this morning. Nothing else to report!
Sorry for being a Negative Nelly!
Natty I'm glad you got a negative result. It sounds like what DH had the other week, which knocked him for six too! I hope you feel better soon.
Narc0 I also got frustrated with the NHS app! My ID got rejected! My passport expired more than 12 months ago, and I don't have a photo DL. It will have to wait until I renew my passport!
Hugs, stick & spoons to those that need them x9 -
Evening all
Belated happy birthday to you GI - I’d be moaning in your shoes too!
Kaz- you are in my thoughts, as are you Fayolle xx
After yesterday’s busyness I’ve done absolutely nothing today other than school runs and cooking dinner. I’ve watched lots of TV and collected eggs, but that’s it. My medication change is leading to nausea and sweats, which is making me feel very odd.
Tomorrow I have eggs to deliver, biscuits to bake (the treats tin is looking empty and I refuse to spend money on things I can make) and laundry to do.
Sleep well all xx

Narc0, I think you achieved loads. And your mum sounds amazing.
Belated birthday wishes GI, I hope your week improves.
- This morning I went down to make a cup of tea, put DW on and planned to run.
- Got up (1st tea is always in bed), got sports bra out......and noticed rain. Momentary sulk. Put immersion heater on, planning a kitchen fly extravaganza. Emptied DW.
- Did remaining washing up, cleared and cleaned all surfaces, cleaned a few appliances, put away lots of gibble that had collected everywhere. Swept and mopped the floor. Really pleased with the result.
- Did a final check and emailed report.
- Rather concerned that no email seems to be appearing in my business account; tried sending one to myself from personal account and it bounced back, saying mailbox full. Thought that fairly unlikely but continued with a really ruthless cull. Went onto web-based mail thingy and noticed to my consternation that the inbox appeared to still contain the several hundred emails I'd culled. Er....that's the limit of my understanding. Sent an email to my brother, who manages my web address, but not optimistic of a reply for a few weeks as he is working on a LEJOG cycle; currently reached Scotland.....then he has another event for a week or so. Hoping he may see my email and think of an obvious solution.
- Was feeling very irritated after email incident, so decided I'd go for a run even if I got wet. I was lucky and stayed dry. It felt slow and my legs ached all the way through, but on the plus side I met a friend and stopped for a brief chat, saw lots of swifts and also a hare! Came back in a much better mood.
- had zoom Bible meeting.
And I don't have to sit here typing any more reports...................Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Evening all, and another belated birthday greeting for GI x
Today I have achieved more than I had expected:
- logged onto a website, saw that I have still didn't have access to certain vital information, so rang the company and the agent put it right immediately
- made 2 more phonecalls
- FUPA yesterday's washing
- dusted and hoovered all through downstairs (including DH's bedroom); steam mopped kitchen
- cleaned the ensuite and cloakroom thoroughly
- cleaned kitchen, DR and LR windows
- WMx1 = small load of cleaning cloths
- took Rosie for her walk without getting wet
- delivered a birthday card
- began to clear the spare bed of paperwork, but the website access meant that I printed out loads of missing paperwork - that at least is filed, even if a lot of other pieces of paper aren't!
Tomorrow the spare bed will get attention before anything else (except perhaps Rosie
Sweet dreams to everyone x8 -
GI.. that sounds like my idea of hell.. you will need a holiday when you get back.. but my mother did the same with her mother.. took her on holiday to France as she had never been abroad and apparently she was an absolute nightmare the whole week. I intend going on holidays alone when the girls are bigger.. me, a bar, a restaurant, an ice cream parlour and a comfy bed... that is my week.. I can't leave the UK as I am not allowed a passport (I don't know why either!) so it will be not too far.. I have a couple of places elsewhere I would like to visit but I will go when I am dead as a spirit..
My leg appears to have healed this last bit of infection itself, however.. I have developed a weird lump in my throat like something is stuck in it, I can feel it all the time but it is particularly noticable when I swallow.. super weird.. hopefully just swollen glands from fighting infection. It's not painful or anything just feels strange.
Swimming was an absolute nightmare.. the instructor from the younger group is pregnant so wasn't in the water in case she was kicked in the tummy so she had the older (Dot) class and the other one had the younger ones group.. Dot was an absolute horror... at one point OH was ne side of the ool and I was the other just to keep her still-ish.. She does really well when she can focus.Boog loaded the DWI threw pizza at the girls for dinner after swimming and they went to bed early.. guess who is still awake!?
Having a cuppa and heading to my nest too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9
