Hope it gets sorted.powerful_Rogue said:Just to update incase anyone finds this when searching on Google or such like - the banging is back!British Gas just re-attended and ordered a new bypass valve to fit tomorrow.I did mention about the poster on here that had a similar issue with the right hinge, but that was kind of discounted by the engineer.Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
This boiler is going to end up like Trigger's brush!Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.2 -

Sounds like a similar noise I had with my WB boiler. We used to be with BG but dumped them after price increase & no negotiation.Anyway our problem was a blocked condensate pipe. Engineer from local firm took it off & cleaned it problem solved.Moneysaver3

Interesting. I suppose that is another downside with an aluminium alloy heat exchanger — presumably it was gunked up with ally corrosion products? Wouldnt get that with stainless steel . .moneysaver said:Anyway our problem was a blocked condensate pipe. Engineer from local firm took it off & cleaned it problem solved.
