Congratulations @greent!
Spent 40p on a card this morning, so no NSD today. Posted sold items, had enough of my free stamps on them, so didn't need to pay any extra ☺️ walked 5 miles with hubby, dropped middle son off at work, then washed eldest son's bedroom walls. He didn't want me to start painting until he went to work at 5pm, so I did more weeding in the garden after picking middle son up again. Painted the walls, had a late tea, then did some knitting & watched TV. Feeling tired now!
Grateful for finally starting on decorating the last bedroom, eldest son audibly replying that he loved me (rather than a mumble to decipher!), the return of Virgin River TV programmeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Was still awake at silly o'clock and just as I thought I might finally nod off, mum needed help. She had been sick and had various other symptoms - took ages to get her back to bed, at one point I was supporting most of her weight and my knee was clicking. Don't know how I managed but just kept telling myself I had to.
She is feeling better this morning but still not well. She had a nap this afternoon which helped a lot. I did not go back to sleep straight away but was scrolling through various scenarios in my head. Tired and fragile this morning. Did go outside for a bit (washing machine had another 6 minutes to run and I was back inside before that - planted a row of beans along the fence (packet was part used and split open), put eight cabbage plants into the container I did yesterday, used all the water that had gathered in gravel trays, cleaned myself up (mud, mud, glorious mud) and got back inside before it pelted down.
Sorted mum's pills, watched a couple of episodes of Alias Grace (was going to sew at the same time but couldn't match up wip with patterns, remade mum's bed with clean sheets (mines still ongoing). Very simple meals - one of the soups mum's not keen on for lunch, beans on toast for tea. Another episode of Alias Grace and out in the garden to dig.
Can't move the bag containers when they have soil in but put down a tarpaulin and managed to pull one towards me using the handles and part spilled onto the tarpaulin. Then pulled on the bottom corners and gravity did all the hard work for me. Moved across and stapled it into position, filled it with the 4 buckets of ready dug and sieved soil, another 8 cabbages in their forever homes.
Soil was too wet and heavy to push through the sieve but fairly easy to dig up in chunks (anything that gave me trouble has been left for another day) so sat on my chair and kept moving backwards, chopping up soil and putting it into a row of empty buckets along the path. All mixed up, quite a lot of stones in it but made space where I need to work and about 90% done. Thought I'd done an hour, it was more like 2 (came in at 10 to 10pm). Hoping for a decent sleep and no expectations of tomorrow - fine dry weather would be good but would quite like to sit watching films and sewing (may even start a new piece).
Grateful for my mum (she drives me up the wall but I love her), easy food, getting stuff done (don't tell anyone but I think I'm getting muscles in my arms). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
congrats @greent
@mothernerd - I am not surprised you are getting muscles!
Yesterday was just work, and a coffee with my boss to get my work mobile phone. Nipped to sainsbugs without a list; fatal error. Didn't overspend, but not quite sure of the meal plans yet, with all the yellow stickered stuff. Made a delish peallea though with some reduced prawns and half a red pepper that had been languishing in the fridge. Plus leftovers, I bloomin' love leftovers.
Grateful for:
- a break from study with a coffee in town - i didn't pay.
- getting some of the assignment done, even if I am not quite where I had hoped to be.
- only drinking 1/3 of a bottle of wine3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

Another glorious quiet day with just me and the dog at home. Didn't do much yesterday to be honest, so am still unpacking and washing from holiday today and need to vacuum the whole house as quite dusty.
Grateful for sitting outside last night w ds2 till about 10 pm as it was a beautiful evening and he did some revision for some job training and I was tweaking my job application that is due today, this is a big one as it is a local fulltime job in my fav sector, on pretty much the right pay scale to be a forever job. Wish me luck.
@greent congrats with new job.
@mothernerd it sounds like you work so hard, I am trying to visualise the garden you are working on, it sounds like you're reworking the garden from scratch.
@DrCarrie congrats on only drinking 1/3 of a bottle of wine, I have given up on wine as I seem to during over a half which is my realistic limit, before I fall asleep!

Congratulations, Greent
I'm on NSD No 5. Most of the other days have been low spend buying bits and pieces that I need which I've found cheaper than Tesco.
Every day seems much the same here at the moment. Not a lot going on. Today I have some cooking to do for the Boy and an ironing. Himself has been called for jury service next week. We've been trying to avoid pubic transport and now. just as the cases are rising again, he's going to have to get two busses each way to get to the venue. Oh well, can't be helped. On the plus side whilst he's out I'll be able to dispose of masses of useless tat without him wanting to keep it "just in case".
It's looking a bit dull but not a breath of air so I suspect it's going to be another muggy day.
Right. I'm going to finish my pot of tea and getting the cooking done before the Tesco delivery arrives.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

hi all
I like those money quotes mothernerd
End of the Week Check In
I feel emotionally drained
I need sleep and to be still
I forgive no one to forgive at the mo
I celebrate DD1 for facing a big fear
I release negative thoughts
I trust DD1's consultant
Start of the Week Check In
My number one priority this week is to catch up
I want to do less driving
I want to do more exercise and walking
This week I want to feel calm in my mind
To feel this, I will focus on positive things
If I get stuck, I'll remember to focus on the present
Just catching up on some of my PT job. Also baked cakes, used some red food colouring but they look a bit black rather than red! Will put white icing on top and have various red sweets for decoration
Did some gardening last night, mostly pulled up weeds and planted 2 tubs. Been looking on Fb for more tubs but i used 2 i already had - very MSE . I don't really like gardening and once i picked up some cat's poo (was wearing gloves) i stopped and went indoors!
I'm making a veggie roast dinner later for DD2 and i and various snacks for DD1.
I've done a uGov survey this morning; taking years to get to the right points for my £50 rewards.....
Sun is shining and i'm off to meet DD2 in a couple of hours.
Good luck Ditty
Hope everyone has a good day
