Definitely be kind to you. Statutory is not a lot but should be tax free at least. Good that you should be able to manage.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @savingholmes - you prompted me to check what he would be entitled to and it is £0 - which is depressing

Ouch! That's really rough. Presumably he would qualify for contributions based job seekers?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Its a lovely sunny day here today, so we'll try and do a bit of washing and peg it on the line to dry.
The kitchen fitter was here until 11pm last night finishing off and he's done everything he's able to do until the next stage. Later today a plasterer is meant to be coming to have a look, hopefully they can can soon as we've had to push back the worktop templating once already. We can at least start putting stuff back in the kitchen cupboards and use the new fridge and freezer. Everything needs a really good clean, especially the floor, but we can do it all bit by bit.
Right, must crack on.

Not a bad day today. I had a shower and didn't have a nap, which is a huge improvement on the last few days.
Someone finally came and bought the radiator, so that's £40 for the kitty which is very welcome.
DH paid the fitter £2600. This has seriously depleted out savings. The plasterer and the electrician are both coming on Saturday.
2nd job offered me a days work on Thursday, and I jumped at it. I also offered to work another 2 days next week, but I won't know if the want me until Thursday or Friday.
1st job have still not authorised my expenses.
I think we'll move our savings from Chase 1.5% to the new Santander instant access 2.75%. The only question is if there will be better rates after the next BoE meeting in November.

Ooh, thanks for the heads-up on the Santander account. That sounds like the perfect home for my EF 👍Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Good morning world,
I worked 9-6 at 2nd job yesterday and its fair to say I was knackered afterwards. DD wanted to chat to me about school drama, which she did for an hour, then we watched a film. Despite being physically tired I had trouble falling asleep because my mind was still on the go.
The plasterers came yesterday while I was out and did a mostly good job. The electrician is due tomorrow and after that we should have a working oven at least. This will make things much easier.
DH listed 2 more items on FB marketplace, no takers yet.
1st job have still not paid my expenses.
I've been paid £75 by 2nd job, but I don't know what for exactly because I can't log into the payslip portal. I've raised a query with the IT team and hopefully they'll get back to me today.
Less than a week until the CB hits the account.

Well done for getting extra hours.
Glad the kitchen is coming together.

£75 wasn't a mistake, so I don't have to worry about repaying it, which is good. 2nd job have also offered me 4 hours next week, which will come in handy.
DH listed another item for sale yesterday, no takers on anything yet.
Annoyingly I been sent a parking notice for £30, which I incurred whilst I was doing some jobs for my Dad. Apparently the carpark has a no return in a certain time policy, which I didn't know. Even more annoyingly, I think I did the same thing again this week when I was doing shopping and collecting prescriptions for him. I hope not, but I'll find out in about a fortnight if the letter arrives.
DH and I have both made enough points on SwagBucks to cash out the MSE bonus. This will come in handy for Chrsitmas.
Just waiting for the electricians to arrive now, then I'll spend this afternoon cleaning the kitchen.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
