Sorry to hear the news about DH's job PBS - I hope another door opens for him soon.

Thanks for the good wishes @savingholmes and @Fortune_Smiles, much appreciated.
2nd job has said there are no extra hours next week, which is a bit of a blow.
Someone asked to buy the radiator and then didn't turn up, which is also annoying.
DS needs new school shoes asap and both kids need new coats. It can't be helped. I'll have to shop around and see what I can find.
In other news, the kitchen is going really well and I'm very pleased with it. After so long it feels amazing to be making some solid progress and I honestly think it will transform how we use and feel about the space and best of all (given the current situation) it cost a fraction of what we were prepared to spend on the extension. I think the house will feel like 'ours' once its finished, even though there are still other area in the house and garden that still need doing.
The woodburner is merrily doing its thing, which I'm grateful for.
My smear test results came back all good and I'm grateful for that too. Hope to get the same for the x-ray I had last week, fingers crossed.
That's all for now.

Glad the kitchen is going well.
Good when medical results are clear. Hope your other one is clear too - unless it's an easy fix!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Savingholmes and Merlin's_Beard.
X-ray result came back clear which is good news, but does not explain near constant ache in my hip. I'll have to go back to the doctor next week I think.
The kitchen fitter said the extractor fan we ordered wasn't really suitable so we ordered a different one. Fingers crossed the company accepts return, if not we'll have to try and sell it on FB.
Two people are meant to be coming tonight for other items we've listed, which will be a very welcome addition to the kitty.
DH is quite stressed. We've tried to have a chilled day but it hasn't really worked out that way.
Swagbucks is going a *bit* better, still mind-numbingly boring though.
I think that's all for now. Hoping for a good, cheap, weekend.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

One person came and collected an item for £5 and we also returned something to Ikea and got £36 back. Someone apparently wants our old radiator for £40 but is yet to turn up. We need to list more items.
Yesterday DH did a run to the tip and cleaned the gutters and I swept all the leaves up out the front. Today we will be doing some minor repairs to our kitchen floor before the fitter returns tomorrow.
The weather was sunny yesterday and we managed to dry some clothes outside, which feels like a win.
I'm over halfway to the points necessary to cash out on Swagbucks.
If I feel up to it today I'll try and clean the windows and push the vacuum around. Hopefully we can have a NSD.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

The person still hasn't come for the radiator. We haven't listed anything else but agreed to list one item a day next week.
I didn't get around to cleaning the windows, I had a nap instead. I couldn't really help it.
DH and I got a free cheeseburger and fried from McD's and took it to my Dad for his dinner. He told us that yesterday his smart meter showed that used used £4.87 of energy and he's a bit stressed about it.
DD went to a trampoline park, we dropped her off and picked her up but she paid for the session herself.
DH and I collected 4 more pallets for the woodburner. If it stays dry this week hopefully DH will have time to chop them up.

Glad you had a nap. Will your DH get a decent payout? Do you still have decent savings? How long can you make them last?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
