For weeks now there have been people coming on, Not reading the rules, posting in wrong forums as well as discussing not allowed topics and when its pointed out they accuse others of being nasty and rude. They then run around moaning that they wont post any more and this is a really nasty place and the mods and admins are all $%*&%$*.

I have said before YES people can make mistakes and YES we should tolerate it BUT I think its a bit much to have to suffer abuse from someone when you are trying to tell them that THEY are wrong. A Lot of people who I have seen come in for abuse have been members for 2 years+ and have thousands of posts as well as thousands of thank you points yet these newbies think that because they told them they posted in the wrong forum or the topic is not allowed that they are being abusive and rude.

Okay can we get a bit of Christmas cheer back please :j

Everyone is busy, the email went out last night and plenty of members/guests are trying to complete their holiday shopping with the least amount of fuss and bother and, lets not forget, in the cheapest way possible.

    Stats right now:
    Shop don't drop: viewing 790
    Grabbit: viewing 826
    Freebies: 561

Thats a lot of people using these boards just now but only 30 viewing the I Wanna board which comes into its own once the manic Christmas shopping is over when EVERYONE has more time to read where they are posting and the BG's have more time to shift/merge etc.

Have a nice shopping day everyone and has anyone seen a cheap Wii :D
  • Just to clarify what I said above, as a general rule can you please let Board Guides for the relevant boards know about threads that need to be moved, especially if there's a lot of them?

The forum team can deal with the odd one here or there if the BGs aren't around and the thread's not been moved after a few days but please don't send the forum team long lists of threads to move.

    Thanks :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Do you REALLY want us all to keep hitting the 'abuse' button?

Surely it's better to just keep this thread moving so misplaced postings don't happen in the first place.

Alternatively, if the 'Wanna' board is so under used, why not close it down and save the time of monitoring it.

Almost all the current latest postings on here (SBDD) are questions. Admittedly, the answers may be classed as 'best-buy tips'. But that's stretching the purpose of this board to the limit.

EDIT.....we've now even got posts on here starting "I WANNA..." from members who should know better!
  • I think half the problem is people not using the search button!!

OK. That's it. I've had enough!

10 of the first 12 postings on here are folks wanting answers to questions!

All have been reported, but it's not worth reading this forum any more!

If you want one moved over just hit that red triangle as Deanos says and that'll be sorted.

So now are you saying don't "hit that red triangle" because there are too many?

Four days on from this thread and things don't look any better on the main page-13 threads that shouldn't be there.....

A thread was also started in Site Questions and Suggestions......and no one's bothered replying either:rolleyes:

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

If it's petty, surely you're just "lowering" yourself by bothering to reply

Or perhaps you're just being defensive because you don't understand where you're supposed to start particular threads? (Like "where can I develop my pictures?" - I'msure loads of SBDDers want to read about that!). If so, then rather than writing sarcastic retorts, you'd be better off spending the time familiarising yourself with the site a little better so you'll be better placed next time to know the correct place to start such a thread? Rather than clogging up a board with useless questions?

At nearly 5,000 posts your pretty clued up aren't you.
Where should my post on photos go, I feel terrible now that I've clogged up the wrong part of the forum. The replies I had obviously read it so they care. Should they have a smacked wrist for reading it in the wrong section?
If you don't like it in the wrong section don't read it, yes? If you don't want to read topics like my photo one don't read them, yes?
I just personally believe people do it by accident, they don't do it on purpose to be awkward and giving them a hard time isn't really fair. There's loads of sections and sub-sections on here and I've seen threads and wondered why they are there, It's not the end of the world though!
Again, where should my photo one go that no ones reading but giving replies to?
