Umm I think if there wasn't so many boards it wouldn't be so damn confusing as to where to post!!

But really guys, life is way too short to be worrying about a thread in the wrong place.

I agree there should be an overhaul and boards should be merged and extra "General topic" boards put in place like one for shopping questions and things.

As for worrying about a thread in the wrong place... Its the fact that people post these threads then because they dont get the answer they want or dont get an immediate reply they decide to clutter up more busy boards with completely irrelevent stuff using the "Im a newbie" and "Im not posting again if you tell me off" excuse when told they are in the wrong.

It is pretty clear by some of the recent posts that people don't read any of the rules or stickys because there is always a few posts per day about P2P and "Chipping" of some sort. These are topics that could have dire repercussions for this board, .. there are more than a few large companies that would love to see Martin associated with illegal stuff to bring up a scandal.. Imagine the headline..

    MONEYSAVING WEBSITE PROMOTES PIRACY

Yet when these people are told thier post is not allowed to be discussed its the usuall "GET A LIFE" response.. This area of law is a grey area and thats why these subjects have a blanket ban on them Legal uses or not.

Well I for one think the I wanna buy it or do it should be merged with shop don't drop....you get very little response on the I wanna...and it is clear to see that people do on here, after all you only really go on the I wanna if you want something. I go on sometimes if I'm bored and often find I can help people so what about all the others I could have helped????

Yep, and we could merge the existing SBDD with Grabbit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    For me, it's simple....

    QUESTIONS to Wanna.

    ONGOING GOOD BUYS to SBDD.

    LIMITED OFFER SPECIALS to Grabbit.

I'm sorry of some of these words have more than one syllable.

Excuse my sarcasm, but ploughing through folks wanting to know if Tesco are gonna deliver tomorrow (why not phone them and ask?), when the January sales are gonna start (maybe in January?) and where to buy an engagement ring (how about a jewellers?) when all I want to know is what's hot today, really gets me down!

Its the "I hope this is the right forum", or "apologies if this is the wrong forum" that do it for me.

I've given up on managing to get the shop forum back to its purpose. More concerned now trying to keep the grabbit forum clear of interloping threads. The odd one is sneaking in with the usual exception taken if the error is pointed out. A merry christmas when it arrives to one and all

You are fighting a loosing battle... There is a new breed of member that has no respect for the board or what its been doing for the last few years who also think they can do what they want when they want then slag off and be rude to those of us that do abide by the rules...

Not long before this ends up a mess and becomes useless

The problem is that Admin are saying that the board guides will move irrelevent threads etc....well both the board guides for SBDD have been on the site almost daily since this thread started. Neither have bothered replying to the thread (or the one in feedback & suggestions), nor have they apparently moved any of the irrelevent threads as there are still many of them from days ago.

The only conclusion to draw from this is that they don't care about the apparent state of the board and are happy with the status quo......so members can complain all we like....but what's the point if noone who can actually do something about it cares?
"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

If the Guides are so overwhelmed with these complaints (as I have seen posted in other threads by admins) why not let some of the more senior members (ones that have been here a few years and frequent the board a lot) have a go at being a guide... I know a lot of people who would be up for the job... I would just hate to see this board go to ruin. Even if they took someone on for the few months Before/after Christmas as this is its busiest time.
