Credit card has been paid! Phew. I thought I’d be using the money I’ve got for Christmas to clear it, but the switch money and some sales has helped.

Another item sold today. If they pay that’s another £40 in my bank. I’ve had a lot of no pays so not counting it yet until it’s paid for. Another item ends tomorrow that will hopefully mean that I can start to pay extra off the loan.

After borrowing extra on my mortgage for the kitchen/en-suite, I’m now where I was when I bought out my ex. I’m really happy with that. It means other than the loan, I’m where I was then except with a new kitchen, en-suite, living room, boiler, radiators in every room, DDs bedroom and mine decorated and the awful ceilings plastered throughout. Sometimes I forget what I’ve done in the last 18 months.

The loan is now my focus. Every month I need to hit that target to get it paid off in the timescale I want.

Picking up the Christmas meat tomorrow after DD’s football. DD then has a party at a trampoline place.

Busy day but as I don’t have work on Monday, it’ll be fine!

Willow, you’ve done brilliantly, it’s not cheap getting so much work done in the house and you’ve managed it on your own. 💪🏻🥂

I’m sure you’ll pay off the loan as quickly as you can.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.

Thanks Sashy, I forget what I’ve done in the house the last few years and today reminded myself.

They paid for the item so that’s another £35 into my bank after fees. I’ll be looking at where the best use of that is. It might just be Christmas food. It’ll be in my account on Monday now.

  • Managed to pick up DD from school yesterday. She’d asked her dad to start picking her up on Fridays as he finishes at lunch, but unfortunately it’s his nap time. I managed to get there just in time and that was a nice surprise for her.

today is football, post office, pick up Christmas meats, home, tidy up, football Christmas party, drop DD off at my mums, wrap presents. My mum has asked if DD can stay. Think they’re concocting something.

Plan for Christmas Day sorted with her dad now too. Same as last year but in reverse.

Credit card officially showing as 0 this morning, such a relief. It will also mean the money I get for Christmas will be able to go on a gift for myself. I’ll use some to buy food and treats for DD and I, but can also buy myself a little something too.

Sounds like a busy day ahead.
Awe bet she was so pleased to see you at the school gates.
Will you get a catch up with your friend with dd staying at your mums.
I’m going to get some Christmas food in today as well only for three of us so we don’t need lots.
    Enjoy your Saturday x
  • Not tonight, but DD is at school Monday and Tuesday so we have plans then x

  • Yesterday was busy but good. DD’s team did well followed by post office and picking up the Christmas meat. Then football party and DD at my mums for the night.

I spent £96 at the meat place. 😱 was not expecting that at all. £30 for the Christmas hamper and I got some bits in for me. Both of my freezers are now full. Some bits will go to my mums in a couple of days. I think I’ve got enough meat to last me till the end of January.

I have sold two items. I’ve got £40 on the way to my bank account and another £30 item sold.
