Three years to get debt free

Morning,
I decided to face the monthly look at where I’ve spent my money. Over £550 has gone on ‘shopping’ (not groceries either). Some of this was the holiday booking places but nowhere near £500. At least I can see bits and pieces. Fuel was higher too but this is because July was really low. That has evened out with the July one. Groceries were well over budget too which will be the alcohol. I can clearly see it’s a lack of any discipline in the month and all my own doing.
Today I have my click and collect. A football match for DD, plus I have £32 in vouchers that I am going to make a start on my sister’s birthday present. DD has a party tomorrow so a gift will be bought with them, and I need an academic diary. It’s a tall ask for £32 but think I can manage it 😂.Payday is 4 days away. I am desperate for it! Also determined to pay off the £500 debt that I want to.
Have a lovely day everyone xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

My ds wanted a gohenry card but I was against the monthly fee. In MSE newsletter this week there were details for Hyperjar which is the same idea but without the monthly fee. The only difference I can see is you can’t use it to withdraw cash from an ATM. You can set up jars for different types of spending which is great to teach budgeting.September 2017 Debt = £25330

Just cancelled my Amazon prime membership. The only thing I use it for is the free delivery and then it’s just a temptation to spend that I don’t need. Frustratingly I didn’t realise it had come out and ordered something so I’m losing £8. Still refund of £78 to the card though. If I’d not have spent, I’d have got the full £79 back!September 2017 Debt = £25330

Lovely day today. DD had her football match. Unfortunately her dad had a delivery and couldn’t make it. She’s getting more and more confident each time she plays.I went and got everything I needed under the £32 mark. I didn’t get a diary as I didn’t like any so decided to use my own that has a couple of months left on it. By that time you can usually pick up
an academic diary fairly cheap as a few months have gone off it.I even bought some Gluten free things, my lunch and a treat night thing for DD for doing well today. Still got it under the £32 mark.
I’m glad I cancelled prime too. It was just too easy to spend. At least half my unnecessary spending is Amazon and if I need something next day then I’ll have to physically go and get it. That will definitely stop me!
I found two of my laptop cases that I never use in a drawer. I’ve listed them on the selling site to see how they get on. They’ve not been used so hoping they do sell. Only the DVD collection with a bid on. 99p but it’s more about the space for me than anything. I’ve utilised where they were better and now their on the spare room bed waiting! I’m going to change as the the wardrobes round slightly, my motorbike things are bulky and so will need space. I need them out of the spare room as it’s become a dumping ground again and I want that to stop.Click and collect ended up less than £25 as I didn’t want one of the substitutions. It’s now slow roasted ham for tea tomorrow. DD loves it and I’m looking forward to it too.I’ve sorted out my aloe plant too. It’s had lots of babies so I now have new pots. All have been claimed from someone at work do they’ll be going to good homes 🏠
I did three lots of washing today too. One had been done already but had that damp smell I hate. I put it in another room to dry now do hopefully it’ll be ok.
just say enjoying the night in the conservatory.

Morning,
DD has a party today so she is going out around 2pm for a couple of hours. It is the only free time I would have had this week and the weather isn't looking good so not good for the bike coming out.
I haven't arranged coffee with anyone as I thought I might quite like just have a couple of hours at home to relax. I have a ham joint to cook and I think I will do some potatoes and veg with it. DD will have a little bit of these but mostly the ham! She prefers raw veg but I can easily sort her some raw veg out and then a small potato.
I have found out that when I am asked to attend meetings at different sites, I am allowed to claim my mileage back. I haven't done this before, but this will be a weeks shopping for me roughly every month and so likely worth it. I will speak to the HR manager and see how I do it.
I'm glad I have my sister's birthday present now. I managed to get everything that I need for it which means I have only one birthday to buy for now before Christmas. I will be trying!! to put money away before then to save up for Christmas. I should have been doing this all year round, but as usual, haven't done. I have to get this sorted for next year.
Have a good day

Morning
Your dinner for tonight sounds nice.
Sometimes you just need some time to yourself.I’ve started picking up somethings for Christmas when I see on offer. (Still have 6 birthdays before then)
I don’t buy my nieces n nephews present. I just give them money which is already in the wallets. This year I’ll buy the wallets but they are for next year and I write them out fill them during the year and seal them.Good news about claiming mileage x2
