Have to sort out this cycle and see the long term gain of not spending. Overdraft is eugh and bordering on **** that will impact next pay day which is my own doing. That impacts debt paying which makes me feel rubbish and then I spend.I can’t keep this up as I really need to get straight.Determined to do this x
I must have missed some steps in your plans somewhere but didn't you hope to go part-time and have Mondays off? Is that still going to happen?New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Running total to 26 Feb: £183.77

Ive got ten years left but really need to sort it. XThe only issue is that I have a lot of quilts now. Family keep telling me I should start selling but that would be turning a hobby I something potentially more stressful, so I now make them for Project Linus.
Sewing the pieces together is therapeutic In my opinion but the hardest part is the actual quilting process with a big quilt such as queen or king size as it's so unweildy for a domestic sewing machine. Some quilters who have spent months on a huge 'heirloom' quilt often send them to a person with a long arm quilting machine and pay to have them finished. Expensive but worth the money. No problems if you are making cot/child/single quilts or maybe lap quilts/throws as a domestic sewing machine can cope with that OK.
I too give lots of my quilts away as gifts or to charity and in lockdown I was sewing like crazy and amassed several! I worry so much when someone asks me to make them one using special pieces of fabric that they've stored and which mean so much to them. I get anxious when I'm responsible in any way for people's memories.New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Running total to 26 Feb: £183.77

Was worrying a bit this morning about overdraft and where it is. I got an email to say I’ve won £10 on the postcode lottery and today come home to a £250 cheque for the local lottery I do. It’s not cleared the overdraft, but it’s changed it to a much better figure. It means I can allocate full debt payment for September. That makes me very very happy!XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
