I’ve done the post office this morning and work as well, got bits done.

This afternoon I came home she took down DD’s swing. She never plays on it anymore and it was just sat in the middle of the garden. The garden looks so much bigger now without it there! I had a look at the garage and with a bit of help it could look so much tidier. I just can’t lift some of the items so will ask my dad for an hour one day to help me organise it.

I have an appointment today at 4.30pm and then I can relax for the evening. No clubs tonight.

The bike payment has all gone through too so that’s one less thing to sort. Just hoping for some of the sales to go through now and then that’s me paying off some more. I’ve overpaid around £250 this month which I am happy about. Next month will be more.

Have a lovely evening everyone x

Sounds like a productive day.  Just make sure you don't try to do much heavy moving and lifting yourself if your Dad isn't free to come and help for a few days.

Are you planning to sell DD's swing or will you store it and keep it for use if you have young children visiting?  We got rid of a lot of our children's big outdoor toys like swings when they'd lost interest in them.  Like you've found it made the garden look a lot bigger and nicer.  We have a huge garden anyway but the bit where they were was in full view of the back windows so we could keep an eye when the children were little. I kicked myself that they'd gone though as the next couple of summers  we had relatives with little ones staying at various times and big outdoor toys would have been really useful.

It’s not worth selling it so I’ll take it to the tip. All family members grown up so it’s of no benefit to anyone now.

It does really open up the garden. I’m currently sat in it and it looks so much bigger.

I put some lights around the fence earlier too so that should also make the garden seem different later. Once the rabbits aren’t with us they’ll be lots Changing but that’s a few years away hopefully. As mischievous as they are they play a part in the family. DD was upset enough over the fish so I’m dreading the day the rabbit isn’t here.

I’m not planning on doing the garage without anyone. I physically can’t move some of the items and I’m not going to push to try when I know I can’t.

    Hope you’re ok? X

Someone on a local FB group or similar might like the swing for free rather than take to the tip.  I got rid of some unwanted bits on Sunday via FB.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    OMG, What a ———-
honestly you are reliving my life.
You and dd have a great life and a relationship- he's the one that’s missing out.
I always wonder what goes through the new partners head when they don’t suggest to ex bringing dd - I always assume a woman would think these things 🤦🏽‍♀️.
As @buffythedebtslayer says your well shot of him. One thing you do have to be firm with him and stop giving him the time of day so that he can’t talk to you about anything personal. When he visits dd be polite hi how you - end conversation at that even if it means you going to other room etc. (Not fair that you have to go elsewhere in your only house, but only solution if your inviting him in to visit)

🤗 🤗 🤗 hugs to you and dd xx

We used to give loads of stuff away on Freecycle in the days before Facebook and other  social media.  We picked up some useful stuff that way too over the years, all for free.  We once wanted to get rid of a greenhouse and the person who wanted it even came with his brother and dismantled it before taking it away.  DH had been really busy and was wondering when/how he was going to get it taken down and gone.  It was a big old greenhouse, definitely a 2 man job to dismantle it.  All it cost us was a few cups of tea and a sandwich!  We got rid if the swings and slide on Freecycle too, I was a big fan.  Not sure if there's a group near you or even if it still exists in these days of social media,  Worth a look, maybe xx

    Thanks Parky and Buffy. X

I’ve deleted my original comment as I decided in the early hours that I wasn’t allowing this diary to become my ranting space for that side. It will consume me if I do and I am trying to be so positive and focussed.

Today is not going to plan. DD has woken up unwell so it will be a stay in job today. I have garden things to do though so I can get on with those. It gives me the opportunity just to sit and enjoy the new space.  It seems so strange just turning my head and seeing open grass😂

Today has been a bit lazy. I did the garden things and DD has had a day off resting to hopefully help her feel W bit better.

I’m currently sat at in the garden with one of those foot peels on to try and help ease the skin on the bottom of my feet. Not sure whether it will work, but worth a shot 😂.

The garden is looking better as I deadheaded all the flowers and added some more to the pots that needed it. I strimmed the lawn and now it looks neater.

Selling has plateaued a lot now and so I’ve tried adding some bits to another site. I will also dig out some other items I know I have to sell and see if they go. It will mean a trip into the loft but one that will hopefully pay off.

Will now focus on clearing that card and then back to the loan. X
