Good news you’re able to drive again 🙂
    I know. It's liberating!

Today has been another tough family day. Her house was given back and all her furniture removed. It was all given to charity.

The house hasn't felt like her home though as we've had to clear her personal things. Most of it went to charity and some bits we couldn't salvage so they had to go into the bin.

I did manage to drive round though and said my little goodbye to it. As I told the family, she lives in our hearts not her house. She's not there anymore.

DD was sick last night so she was home with me today. She's feeling better now so she'll be back in school tomorrow. She was fine in herself, but i didn't want to risk it and school don't like them in if they've been sick.

I cleaned downstairs today and sorted out a few bits. I'm decluttering tomorrow. I've arranged to drop off all my candle jars to be recycled and I have a bin bag of clothes to go. I also need to do a tip run so I'm going to see if I can fit that in as well tomorrow. That will clear a lot out of the garage. I always feel better with a tip run.

I have a work colleague visiting tomorrow and she loves the same author as me. I have around 8 books to give to her, as I've read them and she hasn't. That's another bag of stuff leaving.

I still need to do the main wardrobes and DD's wardrobe. I think they'll be another two bin bags at least. The book shelf has been cleared slowly, but I can donate some more tomorrow in the charity book srop off at the tip. I've got tons of small electrical items to go. I also have two bags of coffee pods that I haven't been able to take to the local shopping centre. I can do that in the next few weeks.

I've spent £40 today on hamster and rabbit supplies. I let it run down with not being able to drive. It will see me through for at least 3 months though, and I'd rather stock up now. I bought it in bulk as it turned out cheaper. I need to clean both of them out this weekend as well so that will be another job ticked off.

This year's job is getting a proper roof on the conservatory and the back garage door being fixed. I can't currently open it. Then if there's spare, getting the hall, stairs and landing decorated and a new carpet.

I'm on a crafting course on Sunday, and have another one I had already paid for but had to postpone with my wrist. That will be the next few weeks.

I occasionally pass my mum’s old house and think little do the current occupants know she passed away in the living room. She was never particularly attached to any house as my dad was in the navy and they moved around a lot.

I have an ex work colleague I meet regularly for a catch up and to swap books. Sometimes she gives me as many back as I give her 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I'm hoping not tomorrow. I have space on my bookshelf! That's unheard of for me🤣

I used to have around the same, but decided a few years ago to read and not keep. If do miss walking into the room and see all the books. I don't miss the dusting!!

They are all unread 😬 I rarely keep a book unless it’s a classic I like to re-read. I am working my way through them though and trying not to add more - until I meet up with my friend again!

    Morning

I was up with DD this morning. She's back in school and feeling better. I did the clothes charity bag and the hangers. The tip will have to wait until I can get help. Candle jars have been sent to the lady for recycling.

Books will go later on when my colleague comes.

I can do a fair bit of the tip stuff myself. I might have a look and do what I can do myself.

I did the tip run with help from my dad. My car was full and it felt very cathartic!

I realised there were more like 20 books in the bag, so they've gone too. I still need to do the wardrobes. DD's is the worst, but it'll be done at some point.

The garage looks so much clearer thankfully and the spare bedroom is better too.
