Three years to get debt free

Got up and felt motivated this morning so I did DD's drawers.
I'm just watching a netflix series and then it's clean out the animals. Just my wardrobes to do now. Probably the biggest job.

I found with my wardrobe taking everything out and putting it on my bed helped. I then went through it and put back only items I wear. It also helped to sort my wardrobe into summer and winter clothes and all year round ones.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

*Natwest - £1828.35 -£0.00

Phew, it's the weekend. What a week, funeral, hospital, driving and back to clubs again. Decluttered loads of items today as well. One bag of clothes, donated, one bag of unused broken toys to the bin. I'd forgotten to say that I went through the cable drawer yesterday and binned the cables that were there that I didn't know what they were for. They've been there for 5 years so I figured if I didn't know after 5 years, I'd probably not know. They went in the electrical recycling at the tip.
I have room in most of the drawers now. Sorted out a couple so they were more accessible. I've still got a lot to do.
Money is ok but I am emotional spending this week. I've noticed that I've been buying comfort items like candles. I do need to slow it down and will hopefully be able to do this.
Have a nice weekend planned. DD and I have plans tomorrow and Sunday I have a crafting course after she goes to her Dad's.

Money is better than expected and I am not sure why. I feel like I've miscalculated somewhere. I've paid £600 into savings and £350 off my car loan. All major bills have come out as well.
Today DD has a club and it's near some shops. We're going to get her a meal deal afterwards and I need a new jigsaw so we will be getting that.
This afternoon we have a film afternoon planned. Her dad's gf bought her some movie set thing with popcorn, chocolate and drinks cups and pick and mix in, but last Sunday didn't have the film day with her and then refused to let her bring it home and it was a her and dad thing. She was texting me upset about it and I tried to find it, but it had sold out. Instead I've bought everything individually for us and we're putting our game bean bags out to sit on and watching Harty Potter 5. She's autistic and giving her something and then saying no to having it and not allowed to bring it home just made her annoyed.
I've also booked a mini break in the Easter hols. I've secured some more work with the summer work stuff so going to use it for a weekend away for us.

Got a bargain today. Went for some jigsaws and the Christmas ones were reduced to half price. When I got to the till, it was even cheaper than that, so two jigsaw for £7 instead of the £9 each they were supposed to be. That will keep me going for a few weeks.
DD had her meal deal and we had the planned relaxed afternoon that we said we would.
Tomorrow is one of her clubs and then I am on a course. Two hours just for me! Then home and relax.
Didn't spend too much today. Need to be very mindful that I think I have miscalculated somewhere and make sure I'm ready for it when I realise what I've done.

Just been speaking to a family member about 2024.
We started Jan/Feb with two funerals
I was having tests for my stomach issues
I had my gall bladder removed in May
My cousin gets her cancer diagnosis at the same time and dies in July.
My dad has his knee replaced in August
My auntie has terminal cancer and after her daughters death, deteriorates quickly.
I fall on ice and damage my wrist in November, I can't drive.
She goes into the hospice in December
Two aunties die within 6 days just before Christmas.
January 2025 - two funerals
14th Jan -first day back driving.
I've pretty much let 2024 get to me. I've not been focused on debt, savings, or decluttering and I really need to not let 2025 be like that.
I've made savings, but it's been because things are up, not because of much effort.
I don't do resolutions,but I'm hoping to make 2025 much more focused.September 2017 Debt = £25330
