Three years to get debt free

Happy New Year's day everyone.
I never set resolutions as I can never complete them, but just have things I'd like to do more. Crafting is definitely one of them. It's on my list every year!
My mortgage is due for renewal this year too. That's the big step as the current interests rates are double the one I have.
I have financial goals as always. I also need to get back to decluttering. I had this working well a few years ago but it's fallen by the wayside in the last 2 years.
Weather outside is awful.
Hope everyone had a good start to the year x

Happy New Year. I don’t make resolutions either just set small goals during the year as I see fit. Decluttering is always on that list 😆
Fingers crossed for the cast coming off soon.

After a very stressful run up to Christmas and the most awful time, New Year ended up being a good blend of relax and family.
We went to a pantomime in Manchester last night. It's got a comedian in who I think is very funny and they didn't disappoint on the laughs. It was often way above the children's heads and us adults were crying with laughter. We went last year and it was as funny then. We only paid £30 for the two of us including booking fee. We've already booked for next year between Christmas and New Year. I went to bed and woke up just before midnight to fireworks. DD had said she was determined to stay up. I checked on her and she was fast asleep!!!!!
She got up gone 11am this morning, which is unheard of. We then went to my mum's for her usual dinner. I did Christmas this year, my sister did a party in between and so my mum did today's. It was nice to relax with them as we're aware of the upcoming difficulties.
I'm grateful for the respite before tomorrow and we have to start with the clearing out again. Then there's the legal stuff and the funerals.
I already have some good things booked in for this year. February I am visiting Harry Potter world with DD and September I have a concert booked. Then we have the pantomime again. They'll be other things, but I'm glad a have a couple of highlights booked in.

Today was the practical day. I helped clear again from the house and my dad with some of the paperwork aspects of what he has to do. I can see how stressful it all gets, and she has a will. My dad commented today that the house has already lost her smell.
Tomorrow is another upsetting day as we have more things to do, but it must all be done. Time is not on our side, and we have to just get on with it.
Saturday, we have an event to do with the training band we are part of. We have a social quiz and relax as well as food. DD and I are both part of it. It's not been opened up to extended people as numbers were short, and it has been filled up with band members.
It's fish and chip supper, three alcohol drinks or soft drinks, quiz, and karaoke night for £5 each. DD won't eat the food, but I'll still pay her £5 as it's more than worth it.
Sunday DD is with her dad. Hopefully, she stays the full day instead of coming home like last week. I need the day to help clear the house.
My mum took me shopping today. It's been so hard as I've been reliant on other people and they've been at the hospice and then helping with the house. My mum commented today how the family here had come together. We've all tried to help and do what we can and nobody has been left on their own to sort anything. There's certain things that only certain people can do,but the rest has been us all sorting.
I have some goals for the next few weeks and one of them is decluttering. I've accumulated so much stuff and I need to think about just getting rid of it. I give a lot away and I absolutely need to start doing this again. I have to wait until DD is at school.though, she's a proper hoarder! I also have to wait until I'm driving and can start taking things to the tip again.
Going to work out money later. I know I've cut bills down where I can and I need to see where else i can cut costs.
