I haven't read all the posts, just the first few.
There is no point saying afterwards that this wasn't wise. You can love him and share your life alongside protecting yourself and your finances.
The first conversation is hard, especially as the path seems already laid. I hate talking about money with people but it needs to be done. Say what you have to say even if its embarrassing (which it probably is).

The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer - I was in my late 20s when I figured out what this meant.

I neither take or enter agreements which deal with interest. I dont want to profit from someone's misery.
