I don’t think he does, I got the impression that he sells cars more as a side business, I don’t think it’s his main occupation.

I am rather baffled by all of this…

What a strange man. Do keep us updated if he visits. I'm with everyone else, don't engage, and call the Police if necessary. Let him take you to court and give the judge a laugh.

How strange. Like others, i would be inclined to log with the police that he is harassing you - explain that you sold a vehicle to him some time ago, 'as seen' and that he is now threatening to abandon it in the street.

you could, if you wish, respond to his message to say something like "The vehicle was sold to you as seen, and after you had inspected it and all paperwork. I will not be entering into any further communication with you and any attempt to contact or  approach me or further intimidate me will be considered to be harassment and reported to the police as such"

If he does show up with the car you are under no obligation to open your door to him, and may wish to call the police at that point especially if he is aggressive.

Nothing new to report today, I haven’t heard anything further from the buyer.

What sort of 'motor trader' faffs about like this with a stock vehicle for over two months? I wouldn't be surprised if he's actually sold the car on already. Might be interesting to put the reg in here and see if its now been re-taxed and a new V5C issued:

Thanks Nick, I did - no changes since the sale. When he bought it from us he said he was going to keep it for himself, perhaps that was the truth (although his company was the buyer).
