Going back to your question, I've had FTTP for over three years but Vodaphone dont offer it where I live. SKY, TT, BT, Zen, A&A do possibly others might.

I've got 76/20 mbit/s which is quite fast enough for our needs so you need to establish who supplies the speeds that you want  because some of them will only offer up to 150mbit/s even though the fibre network can manage up to 900.
Yes I know what you are saying. I am after a speed like 150mbit/s which BT are offering at the moment for £29.99pm over 24 months contract. I read reviews of customer service from TT, SKY etc and they say get slated. I just want a decent speed for a fair price, simples really.

.....and paying the years line rental all at once will reduce that slightly again

There is no option for doing this as the 150mbps package is normal price £39.99pm being reduced a tenner to £29.99pm.

Yes it is, I am having teething problems though. BT said I'd get 1,000 minutes per month calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers but when I got the contract via e-mail these were conveniently omitted.

Also I was told I could cancel at ANY time during the 12 month period giving BT 30 days notice and there would be NO CHARGE however that too has been omitted from the contract.

As I already have an ONT in my home (fitted by Openreach and tested by them to be working fine) I was told by a salesman at BT I would "go live" as soon as the super hub 2 arrives. But I have since tracked my order and BT say they are sending an engineer out to me, lol, complete nightmare.

I had read on-line that customer service with BT was dire and I should have listened, my nightmare has begun!

My daughter and s-i-l have just moved into a brand new house; ONT was already fitted. But when they connected up router no internet ! Openreach had not actually run fibre to it from outside and had to send an engineer to pull fibre thru'.

@Again unusual unless its a 30 day rolling contract .

And move to one of the top class high prices iSPs although they still use the BT OR network .

All broadband and calls packages come with a minimum 24 month term, the exception is BT Basic and the new Home Essentials plan, which can be cancelled penalty free by giving 30 days notice or switching to another provider.
