ISA transfer long delay

Update: My ex KRBS cash ISA arrived in Interactive Investor today, 02/07... so not bad from 17th June, 10 working days:)soulsaver said:IWebb are having problems too: I posted their transfer request mid May for a Early June maturity of a Ftb Isa (KRBS).
Kent tell me they've not seen the request.
I got through in my 3rd 40 minute attempt to get call IWebb when someone on CS, who gave me the impression she doesn't know anything about anything, tried to tell me that the transfer team say they've sent it to KRBS & ... did I want it sent again?
The 'um's and 'er' s gave me no confidence at all, I thought I smelt bovine ...
I decided I'd use Interactive, and while I spoke with IWebb I filled in the II online transfer form.
Very efficient start of the process, albeit it did warn it could take up to 5 weeks?
For a cash isa? Apparently Electronic?
Really?
I suspect low cash deposit interest rates have started a stampede to shares.
4 weeks wasted & missed growth by IWebb.0 -
Been waiting for a NS&I Cash ISA transfer to Vanguard since 6th April! Still showing on Vanguard as "In Progress". Loving the 0.1% interest meantime.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. Ditto.Waiting 2 months, since early May, for two Cash ISAs to be transferred from Saffron BS to Halifax S&S ISA.Saffron say Halifax have not requested the transfer.Halifax say one transfer was cancelled [it wasn't by me, nor by Saffron], so it must be by Halifax themselves for reasons they won't state.Halifax can't yet account for the other transfer request.Growth in the Halifax S&S ISA has been very strong since early May when I initiated this transfer request. When - or if - I get all the facts from Halifax share dealing, I'll complain about the delay and seek recompense for the 2 months' [and counting] growth lost.Has anyone successfully sought, and won, recompense in these circumstances?

Yes, and there have been a few threads where others have done likewise. It is expected that a firm will restore the customer to the position they would have been in as a result of their failing. If HSDL wrongly cancelled your transfer request then you can point to that as a failing on their part that has cost you. This is a stronger position than someone who is just complaining that a transfer took a long time - but even they could reference HMRC guidance on transfer timescales.TraySelect said:Has anyone successfully sought, and won, recompense in these circumstances?
