I found it! yay! Lil_me, I'm sorry, our lists had a thing and your list ran away after my list discovered it was having baby lists. If you find your list tell it my list is heart broken.
Now I can find out what I still have to get... thing it's only chocolates...0 -
My list is here.. in front of my eyes.. I think I would have to lay on the train lines if I lost mine this close to christmas.. it was bad enough losing it a couple of weeks ago.

Glad I could help Pigpen,
I'm trying to clean a kitchen & oven with a very dodgy back so 15 mins cleaning and then 15 mins sitting - doodling on the PC - mse of course.
Surprisingly I'm getting there on the kitchen front!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Oh my gosh! my local pram center is selling that pram... for £65!!!!!! Robbing sods!
I'm bored wrapping presents, it's not the same without hubby sitting on the sofa watching telly and giving encouragement. He doesn't even finish till after 11 tonight. I miss him! I know, it's wrong and that, but I do.0 -
Right, had a chance to sit & do some Christmas cards, just the ones for the street to do, really nice as some of the new neighbours have sent us a card which I thought was nice of them, only seen them to say hello really. Gave me that warm fuzzy feeling you get when someone does something nice.
Oh I did go to DS1s performance, he did itfirst time he's been properly involved in a school performance, last few years he's not even been in the hall with them, he stayed all the way through, didn't try to run away and yes I cried
tiamai, I do the wrapping but I prefer him to be there aswell, was going to do it Tuesday after the charity night but then thought I will be shattered, also he said he's got to pick his Mam up after we get back too. No chance I am waiting up until after he gets back. Will have to pick another day....
Very icey out there today, it's been below zero most of the day and had a few 'scary' moments in the car, stupid me never thought before deciding to get to my sisters the 'quicker' backroad way, which ended up being slower as it was so icey.
Me and DP have had a chat and I think the decision has been made to decline the offer nicely. It's more for them than us as the 'older' members of the family who will be there find it harder to cope with the boys for a long length of time, they are all around 80 (apart from DPs parents of course) and the boys can be a little 'excitable' so we've decided to just go over after they have had dinner.
Well my list is still missing, I know I have everything apart from my Mam's present, well part of hers I need to buy, bought or ordered. I know I am waiting for the delivery of a few. I know most of it's in the cupboard under the stairs. But I WANT MY LIST,I can't cope without lists. I remember having it yesterday...........maybe in my bedroom....
Petrol protests were supposed to be starting Wednesday, I don't think they've got to big blockade ones yet, hoping they won't but also I think the price of fuel now is just crackers!

Yeah well done sexymouse!
Pigpen - have you tried woolworths online for a pram. The coupon sites tend to have vouchers for money off at woolworths so you might get it a bit cheaper.
I'm shattered. All plays now over and done with. Next week I have carols and mincepies, christingle, 240 children to the theatre and school party for 240 children. It's all good fun though. Time for bed xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Just reading through the thread as I wait for the trousers for tomorrow to finish in the WM before I put the TD on and go to bed. I'll have to be up early tomorrow morning cos I'm going in to meet my class for the first time, and it takes 30 mins to get there.
The school isn't one I've supplied in before. It all happened so quickly. The supply agency phoned me on Monday and said would I be interested in a year 5/6 maternity cover for 2 terms starting in January, and I said yes, so they asked me to send my CV over. I sent it over Monday night, they received it on Tuesday morning, within an hour they asked to meet me that day (I didn't pick up the message in time, so met them last night), and then they offered me the job today! They had spoken to the head of one of the schools that I've done regular supply at, as he used to know him when he was a teacher in Portsmouth (where my school is based), and he gave me a glowing reference, so I'll have to call him tomorrow to thank him.
It's nice to know that I'll have a permanent base as you say michelle, and I'll also get a chance to make friends with other staff members instead of always being the supply that nobody knows.
Pigpen would like this headteacher - he owns a pub as well! lol
Also, thank you to AnW's mum and shell2001 for your Christmas cards - they arrived this morning, so I've now got quite a collection - think I've beaten the MIL now!
Well I'm off to make my packed lunch now, so that it's all ready to go in the morning, as I've got to wash my hair too.
Night night all, and hugs to those who need or want them.

Just had a little tearful moment, didn't realise my friend's funeral would be on the news as his death was never mentioned, when they showed his photo that was it. It's always brought tears to my eyes whenever I hear of a fatality in the forces who because of America's stupidity have ended up risking their lives, this time I lost an old friend, his family lost a son, brother, husband and father. I just hope it all is over soon and those who are still out in the far east are home soon.
I received this email of a Soldier's Prayer the day after I found out he'd been killed, hope noone minds me sharing it
T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY, WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO,IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE?
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES, OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.
WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT, CAME THROUGH MY MIND.
FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.
THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING, SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR, IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.
THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE, THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED,A BRITISH SOLDIER.
WAS THIS THE HERO, OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO, THE FLOOR FOR A BED?
I REALIZED THE FAMILIES, THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS, WHO WERE WILLING TO
FIGHT.
SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM, EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.
I COULDN'T HELP WONDER, HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE, IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.
THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT, A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES, AND STARTED TO CRY.
THE SOLDIER AWAKENED, AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA, DON'T CRY,THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;
I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM; I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD, MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."
THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP.
I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL,
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED, FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.
I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE, ON THAT COLD,DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOUR, SO WILLING TO FIGHT.
THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, CARRY ON SANTA, ITS CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS
SECURE."
ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."
Should really go to bed, loads to do tomorrow, good night everyone.
Sorry just needed a little rant, moan, etc.One day I might be more organised...........
