great news sexymouse :T you must be chuffed to bits
well, my half hour was pretty successul!
S&S bathroom
empty DW
put WM on with darks in
put 2 loads clean washing away
pack 2 boxes for moving - only duvets and pillows but still worth it!
am contemplating having a 'packing day' next week where i invite a few friends from church round and say i'll provide lunch if they help put a few things in boxes. do you think it's a good idea? in a way it feels too early but as i'll not really be here after xmas i think it's ok. it's hard as we're getting rid of alot of stuff due to getting crockery & cutlery (hopefully!) for wedding presents and i used M&S vouchers from engagement for new towels. but the stuff could all go to the homeless place minus two or three towels and two or three sets of bedding i guess.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Rach that sounds like a great idea!!! I'd definitely go with that one.. also then if there is anything you wnt rid of they might take it for you!

Moam
now I'm off for a serious 15 minutes in the kitchen!Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
well done sexymouse pleased to hear your good news.
pigpen what a lovely pram my two have similar prams for their dolls but when it comes to soft toys only their strollers will do - don't ask dont know why but gave up asking a long time ago fingers crossed you will get a replacement for christmas.
Just the ironing left for me and once the kids are in bed I have the last 5 episodes of the first series of 24 to watch that I have been sky+ on fx, so that and a large glass of white wine once the ironing is finished is the incentive to make the pile vanish.0 -

It's nearly 9am and I've done nothing. Worked till midnight last night, and today is my only day off until next Thursday, so I've got a fair bit to catch up on.
But all I'm going to do is:
Walk Arsha (or may delegate that one)
Swish and swipe kitchen
Clean showers
General five minutes spent tidying each room
Wrap a couple of Chrissy pressies
Wrap a couple of birthday pressies
Have a nanny nap
Pop into work down write a couple of Christmas CDs
Work on personal budget
Work on business budget
Last day for looking after LO. Her mum takes maternity leave from today
Ok - time to take matchsticks from eyes and get into the shower. If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Evening all.
Well done to sexymouse - fantastic news and it will mean your life is so much more organised as you will know exactly where you are every day instead of being here, there and everywhere. Way to go you!
I am really not in the mood for doing anything this evening. I don't know where the day has gone, but i have had a problem with every one of the classes i teach today causing me no end of work. Incident reports had to be written, details of events today had to go on the computer, people to speak to about unruly kids. My favourite was being called a stupid cow as i dared to send out a girl who was bullying a boy, and she said she had done nothing wrong, it wasn't her fault, she was doing her work as i asked, and threw a major strop. Apparently she is like this with everyone which is a big relief as i thought it may just be me. Then the delightful news, our head of department has been off sick all week, but when he comes back he still wants to do the observations that he planned to do this week - despite the fact it is the last week of term and the kids have turned into a bunch of raving loonies, plus, lessons are being collapsed for carol services/church visits/quizes/form parties, and then the kids are going to be sent back into lessons. I can see already i may not be around much next week.
I have had a lovely evening with Charlie. He was being very happy and playful, hiding in a box and playing peepo, then showing me where my nose was, and trying to put my slippers on. Then we got ready for bed, and the local charity santa float came round the street - so we stood at the window having a nuce cuddle, and he seemed to enjoy watching that.
Since then, the WM is on, i've responded to an email again from the parent i emailed yesterday - i felt there was a bit of a sarky dig about not getting in touch with them soon enough, so i sent one back explaining about being pregnant and ill a lot this term, so it made me feel a bit better dealing with that.
Cats are fed, and i have had a thought about dinner but not managed to do anything about it yet. I suppose i should go and at least chop some stuff now, and then DH may stir for me.
I need to get my A level lesson planned for tomorrow properly, sort my lab order out for stuff for next week, and hang this washing up when it finishes. That will probably get me to 10pm then, and bedtime again. Not sure when i should actually get time to do anything housework related.
Oh - almost forgot - DH said there was a petrol strike this weekend. Have any of you heard anything about it? I may need to add filling up the car tomorrow to my list of things to do.
Michelle, x0 -
Argh! I have lost my anal-retentive list that tells me what present is for who!
Michelle I have not heard anything about a petrol strike. Sounds like you have had a rough week of it! Time to relax eh?
OK, road tax sorted so that's one less hassle. I love online buying!0 -
tiamai if you find your list then check to see if mine is with it as mine is missing too, argh!
great news sexymouse, well done
I've just done the new list, will try and read through the rest in a mo, bit late as we popped round DPs Dad's because swimming was cancelled. Just been offered to go round there for Christmas dinner, but I've ordered the turkey etc now, oh decisions, oh bother I hate saying no but it's usually quite a bit of hassle aswell as we never know how the boys will react etc....hmmmm, will have to chat to DP about it.One day I might be more organised...........
