Morning all. Hope all the WAC managed to get more sleep.
You have all been so busy. I've decided I'm not going to give myself a hard time over what I don't get done but praise myself big time for what I have done. So yesterday I cut the grass finally, spent an hour on FaceTime catching up properly with DD and spent the afternoon in the sunshine with friends.
Its a bit misty and cool this morning but I'm dressed, the garden is watered, bed is made and washing is on the line.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all
Real lack of flying in the later part of the week for me, lots of paid stuff though! We had a fab day out yesterday, met up with family, first time for 9 months... had a good long walk, some lunch, it was so nice to have a proper catch up. I was shattered last night but still managed some time in the WAC, must have been popping in between you all.
Lots to do today so we are going to divide and conquer, DH will concentrate on the garden which is looking like a jungle after all the rain, I will tackle the house, so far have set DW to run as I forgot last night, wm x 1 running and bedding stripped off ready to go in there next.Going now to get some good music on and get moving, will pop back later when I have an update.Take care xx8 -
Morning xx
Eventually went to sleep and didn't wake up until 8.45 - groan. I considered cancelling today due to lack of interest, but I needed a brew: so, I am up, my bed is made, one pop sock has been retrieved from the ottoman and put in the sock drawer, WM is swishing, and I'm sipping a brew.
Hoping to emerge from the grogginess soon. Have a good day

Meat stripped from chicken ready for curry tonight, washing up done and a very muddy walk round the field with the dogs. It's definitely much cooler today.Spend less now, work less later.8

Morning
I went in the WAC at 3.30am, but it wasn’t my cigarette smoke, honest. Cake was pretty good though, HB.
Weirdly (looking right at my soul sister, Round, here) I did cancel yesterday due to lack of interest. DD had a (long expected) meltdown of epic proportions on Friday night, through the night, and into Saturday, by which time we were both drained from emotional outpouring and tears. I spent the day on the bed, drinking tea, book in hand. I couldn’t see the point of doing anything else. I don’t think I have ever done that for an entire day and evening. DH, who had crashed the car earlier in the day with himself and DD in it, took himself off to the allotment to do some weeding and planting to get out of the way. Luckily, neither hurt in the prang. So this morning I am trying to hit reset. I am up, dressed and I have had a slice of toast. GH has been watered, although many of the plants look sorry for themselves as I have neglected to water them for the past days / week. The sun was glorious, but now we have cloud - I thought today it was supposed to be summer??
I still have the prepped rhubarb to make into jam, as long as I retrieve the jars from the loft when DD is awake. I have HHI to do which is an easy win as it requires no brain power, so I will do that first.
Still need to think about my June goal - I know that weight loss won’t be the one for me! I have an elusive 6lb to lose, but it is resisting. Not helped by scoffing all of the WAC cake!!
Have a lovely day all. I hope all poorlies, flyladies and flylady family members, feel better soon x8 -
(((Hugs))) Fayolle. I honestly don't know what to say, but you, your husband and daughter are all much in my thoughts. For those who are struggling to find CSs that are able to take anything because they're overflowing with people's generosity already - I may have found a wheeze. Our local Morribunds has three of those big tall dalek type clothing donation things, and because so many local CSs aren't taking anything any more I thought they would all be rammed full. Quite the opposite, the Morribunds Foundation one had clearly been emptied recently so I managed to get half a car load into it. I'd been carrying a roll of swing bin liners around with the boxes on the back seat for a week because the bags don't fit our new bin anyway, and I knew the donations had to be bagged having checked the dalek last time I was there. I hope they can make some money out of those donations; it wasn't only my stuff, about one third of it was Belovéd's treasured wardrobe prunings. He hates letting stuff go but even he knew he wasn't going to be wearing some of them again.Today we have a communal garden barbeque and I got up early to make burgers which is what Belovéd said he wanted. I just happened to have a box of steak mince in the freezer so the first thing I did this morning was make them. I hope they're scrumptious, it's a Jamie recipe and he's usually pretty good on flavour. Now to sparkle the house a bit because Belovéd is still snoring - five pints because his team won last night wasn't entirely unexpected but it means he will be pretty useless for quite some time.Better is good enough.8

I'm dressed, first load pegged out, second load (more school shirts destined for cs bag) swishing. I've fed the birds, topped up the bird bath, put out the recycling and had a chat with the marmalade cat. He would like to come inside but he is a pursuer of birds, so he's not going anywhere near Sweetie.
I have a bag of rubbish to bin. I think I'll take my chair outside and sit in the sun with my brew....and the cat, if he hasn't skedaddled.

Fayolle, cancel as many days as you need lovely.
HB, have fun bbq- ing.
I have dusted the living room, s&sd the downstairs loo and hoovered through, all of a fashion. The sun is coming out now and DD and SIL are coming to chill out in the garden soon.
Spend less now, work less later.9 -
I decided to stay indoors and read.
Second load pegged out, rubbish binned.
Fayolle - big hugs heading your way xx
