My favourite foodstuff - cake - is fast becoming prohibitively expensive! I snapped this up at 30% off the other day, cost around £1 with the discount.

Mistake; it was ridiculously sweet, even for me. Needed dousing in cream to become palatable. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Fortunately I don't have that problem @Rosa_Damascena because I don't eat cake.
I buy DH Belgian buns in Aldi every week and he reckons they've shrunk over time. 🤔☹️1 -
I don't buy them as I would demolish them in secondsmaman said:Fortunately I don't have that problem @Rosa_Damascena because I don't eat cake.

@Brie, you're right, eating Belgian buns (amongst other goodies from Aldi) has meant he's definitely not shrunk. Quite the opposite. 😉Brie said:

I'm assuming they are quite good. Not something I've tried and I won't be - just in case I do like them. But I did run into a rather rotund acquaintance one day in Aldi and noted that in the time that he had been in there shopping he'd eaten 2 packs and had another 2 in his trolley. I knew about the first 2 he'd consumed as he still had the packaging so he could pay for them with the others - he's greedy but honest!!maman said:

One of the reasons I always go to supermarket after a meal!
It's also theft.
The person concerned may well have been intending to pay but up until the point he did pay, then it's theft.
I really cannot understand how some individuals think that it's okay to do this.
But this is off-topic, so I apologise.
Lidl's bakery Belgian buns are really nice (when they have them in stock, at the moment that have some lemon version, nice but not belgian buns)1
