    @Vegastare
    My MiL has been happy to have the ones in the little pots that are sometimes available. Then again - she's a captive audience and loves chocolate almost more than life itself so isn't very fussy.

     Personally I'm not a big fan of any of them but will eat the Tesco & M*S ones.

    Bless her she know I get the Tesco ones sometimes - hence her sending them home, but they really are strange - plus her nearest walk too store is Lidl which she loves - I think the way the fruit and veg are laid out reminds her of the long gone weekly market the town had.

    Has anyone had Lidl profiteroles....my Mum in law has a habit of buying them and giving them to her son - then sending the ones left along to son's other half who can honestly say they are the worst ones I have ever tasted....last weeks went in the bin and shock horror more arrived yesterday.
    Being gracious I accept with a smile and bin them when hubby goes to work Monday.
    They are covered in a type of chocolate gunge and not sure what the cream is, but as the use by date is several weeks in advance.

    And me the dessert gannet - but not more me.

    I presume you mean the ones in the chiller aisle? I can remember buying them a couple of years ago and being told how nice they were!

    I really think you should speak up and tell MiL they are not for you, rather than throw her money away for her.

    Good or bad buy? Frozen sweetcorn is less expensive and you're not committed to having to finish the whole quantity.

    I personally prefer the frozen in any case as it's just corn, not with the sugary water the tins contain.  But I did notice that Lidl has labelled this as one of it's "Good to Go" items as a suggestion for the food banks.  Someone using the FB may not have the freezer space so tinned things will always be easier.  And can be eaten straight from the tin if necessary without heating.

    Then again - after seeing  the post from @Northern_Wanderer I was in Tesco and saw their tinned corn on for 45p.  So cheaper for an individual one but not if you are buying in bulk.

    Yes that's true. I do use frozen sweetcorn for main meals but I use tinned if I'm having a salad and find them much sweeter without added any sugar.

    It's unsalted and does not contain sugar :) I actually did donate the third item to the food bank in Lidl.....so I suppose I paid more for my two tins but helped someone out.

    Came here to say there's £2.99 Ben & Jerry's at Lidl.

    Not as cheap as other ice cream tubs (like Lidl's Deluxe ice cream range), but worth mentioning for any B&J fans who have a special occasion coming up.

    It's also worth mentioning that Co-op is running a £5 meal deal - 2 pizzas and a tub of B&J - probably better value overall if you like the pizza.  T&Cs below listing all the flavours included.

    Offer valid from 22 June - 19 July 2022 when purchasing 2 Co-op Stonebaked Pizzas (choose from Pepperoni 327g or Margherita 320g) and 1 Tub of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream (choose from Twist Rain Dough 465ml, Phish Food 465ml, Choco Fudge Brownie 465ml, Karamel Sutra 465ml, Netflix & Chill’d 465ml, Fairway to Heaven 465ml, Cookie Dough 465ml) in one transaction. Subject to availability, varieties as stocked.

    Lidl are advertising it's their American week.  If someone goes in to their local can you let me/us know if they've got back the cheddar cheese popcorn?  The ad says they have sweet popcorn but I consider that a rather vile concept.
