I'm pretty sure that some of Aldi's washing products (and maybe Lidl too) have the 'Good Housekeeping' seal of approval which means they have been rigorously tested.
I've certainly used the Aldi liquid wash but last time I wanted some (a while ago) the shelves were empty & I settled for MrT's own brand.

Can attest to the Magnum concentrated washing up liquid, miles better than Fairy.

I always go for the original one.  I find it to be thicker than the other ones.

Yes, I prefer the green original but often not available.

Aldi do a Good Housekeeping recommended kitchen roll which is very good too.

I actually meant their laundry products! I have certainly used their liquid wash (not powder) before- but when I wanted it- OOS! and yes I'm using their washing up liquid too.

I'm an Aldi convert because they came right into town and 'challenged' Morrisons & Coop. So we got a new supermarket 7 years ago (then it was their largest!) with much better prices. Oh, and they demolished an eyesore as part of the deal. Win win.

The original ones do seem to get snapped up first, I think everyone has the same idea.  You have to dig into the unopened boxes to find them!

I've used both liquid and powder for washing clothes and find them excellent value and as good as anything else.  Lidl have the liquid on offer this weekend (inc friday) at £1.39 for 980ml or 28 washes.

Lidl's Assam tea bags are as good as M&S's.  And their chamomile are as good as most branded tea bags as well.  Not as good as proper loose brewed herbs but good enough.

Interesting that all those chicken products withdrawn from sale in the last couple of days because of Salmonella contamination all come from the same factory in Hull - but were sold by Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Aldi, the Co-op, Pret a Manger and Marks & Spencer.

I love these people who shop at other supermarkets and look down their noses at Aldi and Lidl shoppers!

Thanks, I’ll have a look for the Good Housekeeping endorsed lines. The trouble is even L & A have many variants of laundry tablets, powders etc I’d rather try something ‘reviewed’ to save the hassle of working through them.

That’s great to know they have them on offer, definitely a good saving over what we usually go for.
