If you’ve ever had the fresh chicken breast from Home Bargains I can’t remember the brand whatever you do with it from casserole to curry to stir fry it’s like old boot leather I’ve never had chicken like it.0

They had 18 rolls of Sofesse Luxury Ultra toilet roll (3 ply) in lidl for £4.19. It wasn't exactly 'luxury' but it was very decent for the price.

This is why supermarket own brands are cheaper. In the coming year unilever are spending £6 billion/7 billion euros yes it's a B not an M on marketing. https://www.thedrum.com/news/2021/10/21/unilever-commits-7bn-marketing-spend-ahead-challenging-yearAll multi nations are spending vasts sums to get you to buy their products.

Yep - both the red and blue are worth a try in my opinion.

Shocked to find yesterday that the huge new Lidls near me was half empty yesterday - and I'm talking about the shelves. No juice to speak of, no frozen fish - other than fish fingers, etc etc Given that it was a Friday afternoon and normally the place would be heaving with them doing their weekly shop about an hour later than I was there I know they were going to be very very disappointed.
That said - when I went to finish the shopping at Tesco today I was incredibly disappointed to find yet another fish, meat and deli counters have been closed. Theirs were some of the few in town and they've removed them all now. There are still some butcher shops scattered about but other than the high priced Waitrose ones there's only 1 fish shop. It's a shame considered we live on the coast and know there are lots of fisherfolk about.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Lidl has been like that for a while. Lots of gaps on the shelves. They don't seem to update the prices on the shelves either. Bought soup that said 40p and was in fact 45p, brown rice said 99p and was £1.09. It only cost me 20p but was still annoying. They are usually are the same prices as aldi, so thought it was good that the prices were less, but they weren't! Never mind.

I popped into Lidl this evening for the coffee and their version of mini-Magnums but they were out of ice cream on a stick of any description. They still don't have their own brand of ketchup either, it must have been missing for a month now.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
