I risked buying Aldi Moser Roth cherry liqueurs today. Now hidden in the depths of store cupboard in the hope I can forget about them. 🤔 Anyone know if they have bars of chocolate marzipan in Lidl this year?
  • Yes, they do. I’ve bought some Marzipan in Lidl last week.

I think it was Lidl that a couple of years back had big bars of dark chocolate with raspberry pieces.  Now I would always say that fruit and chocolate should never be put together (it's just plain wrong!) but I would make an exception for this and would buy it again if I ever see it.

Lidl also had a couple of years back an advent calendar which I thought looked great!  As I recall it was £19.95 and every day you got a different piece of an electric screw driver set with the final bit being the actual motor portion.  I thought it was a rather fun idea although I've no idea if the quality was any good.  Possibly as good as any other electric screwdriver set they might be selling for £10 - £15.

Thanks so much. Those bars and my cherry liqueurs are my Christmas sweet treat. 😋

I'm just about to open a 125g bar of

J D Gross Raspberry dark chocolate.

    Is that the one?

Wow I didn’t know it is vegan. Mention this to my vegan colleagues. One of them loves raspberries

Loads, and also interestingly marzipan "fruits" - not what I was expecting, looked more like the image below:

I think the cherry liqueurs in the Polish section in Sainsburys are to die for. Mieszko Cherrissimo, 1.35 but sometimes cheaper on offer.
