Just the money they make off our data funds the price cuts for the few who can be arrised to get some of the value back.
Sorry, but that granularity of data is gold dust - and why loyalty schemes keep going. They are not in it for us the punters’ welfare.5 -

Yes, Rosa_Damascena. I find it highly amusing when Sainsburys offer me pennies or a handful of Nectar points off something I would never dream of buying full price. Samphire comes to mind. Fortunately, they do provide a bin near the check outs. I wonder if they collect data from there! 🤣2

And then yesterday when I was in Sainsbugs I bought some sausages in their own brand. 6 pack was £3.85 (I think) and a 10 pack £5. So I got the 10 pack. And then discovered after I'd paid that there was a Nectar discount of £1.70 so 10 cost less than 6. But there was nothing on the shelf to say there was a Nectar deal. That strikes me as silly as many people (myself included) not only compare to get the best value but also will multi buy when there's a really good deal going.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Well, I'll sell my soul to the devil for a discount.
Just used £69 worth of Clubcard vouchers against another holiday! Although that was exchanged when they were worth 3xHow's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)5 -
I really loved my Tesco points when there was the x 3 deal. Also was good when Tesco Ireland hadn't split away from 'the parent' as I used to be a tidy shopper there 'rescuing' sign up for clubcard till receipts... no more.
However I've had a fair few Stena line ferry crossings including one to Dublin in July. At least I had enough for a single crossing before the points devalued!
I don't think they are going to be as good from now onwards
In fact I think they might have had x 4 value long ago?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Recently, the Better Half went to Aldi. As usual no wagyu beef whatsoever. Lots of cheese but smelly. Fridge problem ? Specially Selected pesto without nasties, capers ditto. Cod loins to chuck in the freezer were MSC certified. No organic veg or eggs. He said Lidl is better.0
