Does cooking bacon exist anymore?  Was always a good cheap product to use.
I haven't seen it for some time in any supermarket
Not Aldi or Lidl but I commented up thread that I'd bought a good packet from B&M.
And I've seen it recently in Tesco.

Cooking bacon definitely exists. We're having some for dinner tonight in Tom Kerridge's bacon and broccoli pasta. I chop it into lardons and freeze in meal size portions.

I usually buy mine in Asda but Sainsbury's do it too.

Needless to say, it's rocketed in price lately. It used to be 75p, so that's a 20% increase.☹

Cooking bacon ... I'm eating it at the moment in a curry.

    - 1kg packets in Lidl yesterday £1.79
    - 500g packets in some Sainsbury's yesterday 90p?
    - 907g packets in some B&Ms recently £1.70 (the best)
  • Cooking bacon! what else would you do with it? :astonished:

fyi - I finally got round to adding the Lidl app to my phone.  Within 24 hours I had 50 spam emails.  Might be a coincidence.

No spam after I added it (never get any on my main e-mail),  so I would say coincidence, unless downloaded from dodgy site.

Had some for lunch. I oven cook it.
I do a part-baked roll in oven, when that's nearly done put bacon in oven,  once bacon cooked, serve with a bit of brown rocking  and it's delicious.

Certainly sounds yummy. 😋 But it's a sad fact that the cooking may have cost more than the food. ☹️

Put it on your face to help with spots, or is that cheese!

Finally found some but had to go to asda, I remember when it was 50p.
