    New product at Lidl...

    - Lentil Curl snacks, new flavour - Tomato and Garlic.

These are already good VFM at 72p for 6 packs.   This new flavour is quite understated, but not unpleasant.

Also, a cat-based taste test...   Given a choice of Lidl "Coshida Cat Nibbles" and Aldi "Pawsome Pockets", the cat has a marked preference for the Aldi version.
  • Lidl Plus is down. Have a £2 voucher which expires today. Keep being cut off on the customer service number. Why can't the store override the coupons?

Look closely at Aldi grapes, particularly the black £1.39 packs, i picked up a pack yesterday dated 8th October, got home and ate a few lunchtime, later in the evening went to have a few more and found several split and going mouldy already, took them back this morning and swapped them for red ones as several more black packs were showing signs of being the same unlike the red or green packs.
  • Has Aldi got its Christmas goodies in yet? I notice all the other retailers have introduced Christmas lines early knowing that if we're given an extra month to guzzle them, that's exactly what the Great British public will do :D
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I mentioned Aldi Fruit Fusions squash a couple of weeks ago.   I've now tried all 3 flavours:-

    - Strawberry and Watermelon - excellent and unusual flavour - this is much nicer than generic "red berries" squash.

    - Orange and Mango - rounded flavour with a good Mango taste - it's almost like there is coconut in it, but there isn't.

    - Peach and Raspberry - I found this a bit disappointing.  The majority fruit juice is orange, and that's what it tastes like.   The standard Peach & Barley has a better peach flavour.

ALDI here/today has the Holly Lane Deep Fill Mince Pies out (79p for 6) and I saw but resisted the Stollen Bites (£2.49 I think) -- so yes they have started. Both of the above were middle-aisle.
