Good and Bad Buys at Lidl and Aldi stores (***Please don't expire***)

  • Saw Lidl had some Christmas lines - stollen bites and the whole stollen. Plus some frozen Deluxe veggie alternatives for Christmas such as nut roasts, some goats cheese pastry things. I have bought some of these in the past and they were v v nice, They were in the same freezers as the specials and the stollen is opposite that.
  • Wish A&L do ladies' shoes in sizes 8 and 9. They often do lightweight trainers. Try on the 7s and they are too tight. Sometimes I can get away with the mens shoes. Sometimes I want a girly colour of purple, light green etc,

Has Aldi got its Christmas goodies in yet? I notice all the other retailers have introduced Christmas lines early knowing that if we're given an extra month to guzzle them, that's exactly what the Great British public will do :D
Not seen any yet in A or L.
ALDI here/today has the Holly Lane Deep Fill Mince Pies out (79p for 6) and I saw but resisted the Stollen Bites (£2.49 I think) -- so yes they have started. Both of the above were middle-aisle.
Have Aldi got the Christmas food n goodies catalogue out yet please?
That, I don't know, I never take much notice of the in-store catalogues :)

I'll answer my own question, couldn't see any today, just the normal next offers flyers.

There was a time when they did, I got a number of size-8s but in recent years they have rationalised sizes from 4-7. I call discrimination on Bigfoot :D

Loving Lidl’s goats cheese with garlic and herbs. Great cheese for those who can’t eat cows milk

I wear a mere size 7 but remember back to when I lived in Vancouver.  Due to the large population of incredibly petite ladies with Chinese and Japanese backgrounds the sales often only included shoes of size 1 or even 0.  Made me feel like an absolute giant!

But Canadian men are scarily huge!! Esp when decked out in their winterwear.

Saw someone buy a 12-pack of mince pies yesterday btw, so Christmas delicacies are definitely filtering through...
