Has anyone tried the pack of 2 slow cooked gammon shanks from Lidl and if so, what did you think of it?

if they are the same as the ones sold as part of German/Austria fest I'd say they're good.

I don't think these are the same Brie. These were introduced maybe a few months ago as part of their slow cooked range, like the ribs, lamb shank etc.

Haven't seen tortilla chips (any flavour) in my local Lidl for many weeks now.

Ours was surprisingly well stocked the other day.  Aldi too.  So maybe things are improving??

Brandy at both has been a bit intermittent as well.  I'm not a fan of the more expensive ones they both carry but like to save the £1 a bottle compared to the similar one from Tescos.

I'm starting to wonder why I bother with Lidl, it's uninspiring and there are still gaps in their stock lines. I do like their mini-Magnum dupe but ice cream is incompatible with a 25 minute walk home in warm weather.

Am a bit miffed with Aldi too. Usually CS is great but I nipped in the other lunchtime to grab a bunch of flowers for a colleague, there were 2 tills open with trolley queues and one that had just turned the red light on to close. I thought she might have let me join given I had one item and the whole transaction would have taken less than 30 seconds but instead she closed and sat there for a while faffing with the change in the tills before closing. I was lucky that other customers were more gracious than she was.

Went to Asda yesterday to fill in the gaps from Aldi/Lidl.  Haven't seen any oil in Aldi or Lidl for ages, but there were loads in Asda.  Pasta as well.  Looks like I will be making more visits there now.

I saw cooking oil in Asda for the first time in weeks - a tenner a big bottle mind, but there, not just a gap.
