  • Right, all eBay listings are complete and sitting in Turbolister, waiting for midnight.

Now off to register on a few of the Survey sites that BenBen recommended (thanks :D) and also have a go at a bit of comping...

Oh the joys of a Friday night in front of the box :rotfl:

Gosh I wish I had your enthusiasm and commitment, at the moment I am just floundering around. Never seem to get anything done except look for things before the grandchildren need me, and i am unable to continue. Right now I must go register with Quidco, or Pigsback..

  • Chin up Mooloo, I was feeling like s**t yesterday, but today is a new day and despite the fact that I am going to be struggling for the next couple of weeks, there is still plenty to be done to make a little extra money ;)

I have just entered my first load of comp's, and have registered on yougov. I'm off now to register on a few more survey sites and also take a look at a few more mystery shopping sites. :D

Counting down until I can hit the 'upload' button for my eBay listings LOL

Right then. I need to be more motivated then. Tomorrow is another day. I will take that on board. We have a new year and a new challenge and I suppose were all in the **** sometimes.
Your still young. I feel very old at the moment. I wasnt expecting to be a granny so soon, wasnt expecting to loose my pub, start again, then just as I was getting over the bankrupcy, having to have the family to live with me. I dont know if I am just scared of doing all this stuff on the internet, or what. I dont even do the lotto!
I have not so much to sell, as when I lost the pub, I lost nearly everything, except about 10 boxes of personal stuff and books. The rest had to go. Furniture, clothes, the lot.
2007 has been a year of big changes for me, well 2006 to 2007 actually. But there you go.
I pray you youngsters do not get caught in the money traps, and that you are wiser than me.
Now I know its late, and I would normally be in my bed. As the grandchildren wake me up around 2am. But Maybe I better look at that Quidco again before I put it off for another day, week, month, or year!!

  • eBay listings are live :D:D:D

Mooloo, I wouldn't call myself a Quidco expert, but don't mind lending a hand, if you need help finding your way around etc. :)

Don't think I've done too badly so far, given that I've only been using it myself for a couple of weeks. ;)

My biggest projected payouts have come from renewing my insurance(s), so that'd probably be a good starting point if you have anything which is due for renewal.

Ok I have registered for Quidco. Have no Idea what I am doing but its a start. Few months yet before insurances are due. but I will be ready and waiting when they are.
As we will be needing nappies etc for the babies I will search for a suitable provider, cos I could probably buy in bulk with 2 babies in the house.
Thanks for the offer of help. I will know where to come when I need help. I sort of got stuck on a survey which seamed to go on and on.? so I doubt I will get funds for that.
Must read the threads about it again.
    Cheers x

Well, I did spend £1, but it was my Grandads, so doesn't count :o

I've got the £50 back from my mate, so should now be okay for my rent payment (well, it'll be a day late - but given the new year etc. I don't think the landlord will mind that). I've also found a family friend to carry out a repair on my car, so that'll save me a small fortune on garage prices.

So far only one of my eBay listings has a bid, but it's for £25 :D The others have a fair few watching too, so fingers crossed. They've got over 9 days left to run...

I've given myself the (perhaps crazy) idea of trying to write a book! I am extremely interested in the philosophy behind open source software (comes with the job I suppose LOL) and have decided that I'd like to try and put my idea's and theories into some kind of structured writing - who knows, It may even get published one day  (and I can always self publish one or two copies for my own bookshelf). Ah well, I guess it'll keep me out of mischief, and at least if I'm writing I can't be spending. :rotfl:

As for writing the book......hell, why not!!

    My thoughts exactly! :D
  • Just had a good brainstorming session whilst sitting in the bath - notepad got a little soggy :o:p

Think I've got a good framework together to base my book around, but it's too late to be really creative and start brainstoriming the actual content, so I thought I'd do a bit more moneysaving instead! :D

Just applied for an MBNA card through Quidco - dunno whether I'll be accepted, but if I am it's another £8, and I can just close the account once Quidco have paid up...No intention of falling into the CC trap!

Also just applied to open a second current account, which I can use as a bills account. Hopefully this will help me keep a bit more organised.

Off to do some clicks and comps now, before settling down in front of Star Trek (Free rental from Love Film :D) with a glass of free wine (mini bottle, bought with one of the Asda vouchers they were giving out before Xmas).
