  • I feel you might be right, with regard to her being out of her depth. As I've said, she is new to the company and seems to be having quite a hard time adjusting to the systems and practises we have in place.

We've all tried to give her plenty of guidance, but also plenty of space to do her own thing - however it certainly doesn't seem to be greatfully received.

I'll be honest, the way things are at the moment, I can't see her being offered a permanent contract at the end of her 3 month probation. I'll feel sorry for her if they do let her go ,as she gave up a good job to come to us, however I have to admit that I wouldn't be sorry to see the back of her, and nor would most of my colleagues.

Hope you feel more optimistic now and that you don't lose any sleep over it. I don't live in Warrington itself but I do have a WA postcode. Lived in Runcorn all my life' til about 10 years ago so I know where those apartments are.

  • I'm feeling fine about it, thanks. I know that I'm certainly not in the wrong, so have nothing to worry about.

Nearly had a heart attack a minute ago, eBay was showing in excess of £2k, however there was some idiot bidding stupid amounts, so I've cancelled all of their bids!

Wow you have had an up and down evening one way or another ! I'm glad you are feeling fine about work. Sometimes, if something like that happens to me, I can't stop fuming about the injustice of it and it keeps going round and round :wall: in my head. It's good if you are not like that. Night night

    Night :)

I'm off for a nice soak in the bath, as soon as my listings finish. :D
  • The end figure was £393 :D:D:D:D:D

Although I suspect that may drop by about £20, as I think 2 of the bids are a bit dodgy - so may have to make second chance offers.

Taking into account eBay fee's, even with the dodgy bids, I reckon on receiving £350 :) That's most of my deposit for the apartment, or some decent furniture - whichever way I look at it.

Wooo, great evening for your MF, congratulations

  • An excellent result, I'm really pleased. :)

If they manage to pay me before I leave for work in the morning (well, less than 7 hours now  ) then i can get their items sent off tomorrow. If not then then assuming I have payment, I can get them out on Wednesday.

Just done a quick tally, and my figure so far (assuming everything/one pays up ok) seems to stand at £725.43. Obviously I don't actually have this cash yet, but when it does come in it accounts for 20% of my annual target - and should also cover my flat deposit with some furniture thrown in too!
  • They didn't pay up in time, so at least I've got a bit of time to get everything organised. :)

When I got in from work, I found I had £158.30 in my PP account, as payment for 3 items of the 6. Cost me over £6 in fee's to receive this though!

As I suspected, 2 of the winning bids were dodgy, although I have already had the second highest on one email me asking if I would setup a second chance for him - as he could also see it was a fake. I've also sent a second chance to the other one too..Fingers crossed.

On the work front, the manager has been 'managable' today. As I expected, I've been under close scrutiny today - and am pleased to report that she could find not fault. She seemed genuinely shocked that I manage to get through such hight workloads and stil maintain the quality of my work!

I've got a meeting tomorrow afternoon with the senior manager, having spoken to her briefly today, as she would like to hear all of my concerns properly - not rushed as we were today. :)
