The apartments look lovely, if only they cost that round here I would have cleared my mortgage by now
That's the good thing about this not being the best of area's...
When I was living in Manchester (early last year), even taking into account the much higher income I had at the time, I would have had trouble affording to buy a garden shed! :rotfl:0 -

I'd like to see it reach £150.Although as you say, the current total is fantastic - and well above what I was expecting.
Just checked again and they're at £155.05, with 22 hours to go!
Dare I hope for £200?
If I did manage £200, combined with my Quidco money pending, I could easily furnish a flat MSE style!0 -
Wow!!!
eBay items are doing better than I even dared dream about
Total so far £324.01
I was feeling really depressed before I logged onto eBay, as my manager dragged me off for a bo**ocking at the end of my shift today. It seemed that she was having a go at me for working too hard - and didn't seem to be able to grasp the fact that just because I am a hard worker, doesn't mean I am trying to pull a fast one in any way! Anyway, my supervisor (between me and manager) sat in on the one to one we had, and she was fuming by the end. She's actually suggested that I make a formal complaint, and has offered to support me all the way
I'm going to have a quiet chat with the senior manager tomorrow about filing a formal complaint, as I don't like being treated like s**t, just for doing too well!

What is your job marc ? I know that maybe you wont want to say WHO you work for given the above !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I work as a repairs administrator for a large computer repair company. We carry out warranty repairs for a number of PC and laptop manufacturers.
TBH I get the feeling that it is certainly more the manager than me. She only started with the company about 2 months ago, and has already suceeded in getting a number of peoples backs up - including some senior management.
Just had a text from my supervisor actually, asking if I'm okay. Think she's making sure I'm going in tomorrow! :rotfl:No fear there though, I really love my job and wouldn't give it up for the world - let alone a snooty manager who doesn't seem to have a clue!0 -
Wow, getting told of for working TOO hard?! How strange!
Good job you had the supervisor on your side
BTW that apartment looks amazing!

Maybe because you are good at your job the Manager feels threatened by you ? Whatever the reason it sounds to me as though it is definitely her problem and not yours. Good that your supervisor was in on the meeting and is obviously on your side. Hope it all resolves itself soon. Good luck. Btw your thread is one of my subscriptions and I am enjoying following your progress - you are doing really well. Also think I live not a million miles away from you !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Thanks Mushy Peas
That apartment is getting closer with every second on eBay LOL. It's now sitting at £348.What's more. all of the highest bidders so far look genuine enough in terms of feedback etc.
It'll be interesting to see how my complaint is treated tomorrow, as I know for a fact that this manager as had at least 2 other formal complaints so far - in her 2 months with the company! Plus, I'm usually the quiet one, not making a fuss unless I really feel the need - so I'm usually taken seriously if I feel something is wrong.0 -
£348!!! Blimey, you might inspire me to ebay....but I've promised myself to recycle / charity junk as have been meaning to get rid of it all for years...
At least you have supervisor on your side, that's really important. Sounds like your manager might be out of their depth! Maybe they need some supervision? I'm not being sarcy, maybe they need help with their job rather than taking out on someone like you!Previous debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03MFW#42 Mortgage OP savings £4271.18/£12000 2019

Aww thanks
There was some discussion recently regarding another supervisors job which is due to become available, and my own supervisor recommended that I apply for it - so perhaps you're right about her feeling threatened? After all, if I did take it I'd only be one step behind her - and she might see my next goal as her job! (although it wouldn't be, as I'm keen to move more into the hands on area rather than higher management)
I'm in Warrington (currently near the hospital, if that helps?)0
