Ignore.Cheers
You should be looking up Scottish law procedures , don't expect us down here to know your claims system , it's hard enough for us to understand our own
Devolution works both ways 😁1 -
Google and read what happens first in the Scottish Simple Procedure. We've no idea but it isn't a LBC.
@Old_Slobberchops will know.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve had a read and it doesn’t make much sense tbh. All I want to know is. How likely is it I will be taken to court for £170 from dcbl? Is a “final notice of debt recovery” the stage before court action re a PCN.. just some pointers0

Zero chance.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is only getting serious if you get a letter from a Scottish solicitor or from a sheriff , both in Scotland ! ( As I said earlier )1 -
Claims under £300 in the Simple Procedure are not eligible for recovery of costs, so even if they raised a claim for £170 (which already includes £70 double recovery which is easily argued away, so the amount would revert to £100) then that's the most they could be awarded - they can't claim the costs of bringing the claim nor legal representative costs etc. Ergo the chances of a civil claim being brought in Scotland for an amount under £300 are slim to none.Jenni x5

Thanks jenni1

Jenni_D is 100% correct
Be it DCBL or some other wannabe legal, the parking ticket is £100 .... any add-on will be a scam
I don't think scottsh courts will take kindly to a scam to reach more than £300 with fakes.
We know these legals are fools who are lovers of monopoly money0 -
I'm also in Scotland too and have seen the same letter chain it seems.
CEL sent three letters to the keeper which were ignored.
ZZPS Ltd then sent two letters to the keeper which were again ignored.
GCTT (ZZPS Ltd) have since sent two letters to the keeper this month (the most recent arriving yesterday) which will also be ignored. However the most recent threatened to pass the 'debt' onto QDR Solicitors if payment is not made in 14 days. This is despite the keeper having had numerous 'final warnings' already. This does seem really desperate.
I am now expecting the keeper to receive the same pathetic letter from 'QDR Solicitors' that you have received (which will be ignored) before receiving a begging letter from DCBL later in the year.
It seems like these companies know they have little to no chance of actually recovering PCN's in Scotland, so they resolve to scare tactics by letter. They will not be awarded fees for claims of under £300, and they would need to identify the driver to proceed.
I actually posted on here yesterday about the latest letter, however this updated thread is very helpful indeed!
Thanks!4
