QDR solicitors - Scotland

I’ve received a pcn from qdr solicitors who are asking for £182 on behalf of zzps. The charge is from almost 3 years ago and at the time I wasn’t the driver. So far I’ve made no correspondence with them. From reading similar cases the best advice seems to be ignore or send them a letter with a template etc.. they have threatened to pass this case on to their Scottish legal partner.. the letters addressed to my wife and she wants to pay the fine even though neither of us was driving at the time.. are we best to pay or is there a better course of action?

To add. Best to ignore unless I get a “letter before action” in which case I could either go to court of choose to pay the £182 - or by then could they have increased the cost?0

QDR are being very silly again ? They know that ZZPS cannot instruct them, only the parking company can .... so who is the parking company ???
QDR are scamming you trying to add a fake amount. ZZPS are simpleton debt collectors with ZERO power.
So you know, QDR and ZZPS are like kissing cousins and are both in bed with the disgraced Wright Hassle solicitors ...... yes, that really is their name
You are in Scotland so you never name a driver.
Don't be scammed and ignore them and if their silly threat of passing it to a legal in scotland, come back here. Only extra costs are nominal court fees which is roughly the fake amount they have added and as they have no legal authority to do so, courts don't allow it because it is a fake
Never pays these cowboys .. and remember, ZZPS are part of the great unwashed in the mega parking scam0 -
If the registered keeper (RK) was not the driver, you are bombproof, as the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4), under which the RK can be held liable in E/W, does not apply in Scotland (although later this year/next year it might, but it won't be retrospective). In the Sheriff Court, the costs of recovering alleged debts of up to £300 cannot be claimed, and as solicitors/debt collectors survive only on their costs being awarded, this won't proceed any further, they don't do this stuff pro bono.Ignore the letter. Do not write, that will indicate to them that they have you worried, and they'll try to rack up the harassment. And definitely do not pay, as RK you have absolutely no responsibility for this north of the border. If you want to try to get it killed off, you could try a complaint to the landowner of the car park.Which parking firm are involved please (that won't be ZZPS, they are just debt crawlers)? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi all. Thanks for the helpful info. Letter states they’ve been instructed by zzps who act on behalf of CIVIL ENFORCEMENT LTD.. not sure how they can demand £182 with next to no info about the PCN, pics or even times etc. Many thanks again1

QDR are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think ZZPS can instruct on behalf of CEL
There is NO £182, IT'S A FAKE. Parking charge is MAX £100
Let QDR carry on with such rubbish
If QDR issue a court claim, it will be on behalf of CEL .... ZZPS plays no part from now on in ?
