Bridger12 said:Elbison, It might be great to shave a few seconds off each time ringing the number by pressing an option, but I would hate to get the call, give the correct amount and they listen to my entry and say I did not listen to all the stuff before pressing 1 to confirm my number and could not win.
I suppose skipping part of the message is not "following the instructions" whether they would dq someone for that I doubt but I certainly wouldn't risk it for saving a few seconds if I did enter them.

The only instruction is to stay on the line until they have read out your number, then press 1.
Thank you all who post.7 -

I somehow managed to call the number twice at the same time, put one on hold and dialled again, and I could swap between calls.
I had to put it on hold, as I didn't want the whole office hearing the phone. Ha ha.1 -

If you press 1 after about 32 seconds, then the call should drop about 8-10 seconds later and you'll have been entered into the competition, just like it does when the audio works.
I've sent you a message.
But, if you press 1 it will skip the message, except the one where it reads out your number.
You can press 1 to confirm your number as soon as it starts saying "please press 1...." as it's listening for the tone as soon as that bit of audio starts.
One thing to watch out for if you're doing two calls at once (which makes it a LOT faster to enter):
If you get the "You have reached the maximum number of entries" message then don't press 1 on the other call you've got going.
I'd guess that this would give an extra entry which they might notice, depending on what sort of reporting they've got set up on this.Best win ever: Trip to the Galapagos Islands in 20101 -
If you do two calls at once you might as well skip the messages.
And you are skipping the one telling you to press 1 to confirm the entry/phone number.

Just to let anyone else who is having problems getting silence from 0330 numbers, LizB62 has found that if your phone uses 4G or 2G then there should not be a problem, but if it connects over 3G then you may well connect to the number but may not hear the far end. I can confirm that from a location which has 2G coverage, and setting my phone to use 2G only (not Auto), then I can call the 0330 numbers and enter with no issues. My problem now is that EE do not support 2G in my home location so I will need to travel a distance to be able to enter for free using my Samsung phone. Always something....but kudos to LizB62 for getting a result!3
