    Hopefully it solves the problem you two were having with the 0330 numbers

    Thanks for the info, I have tried that previously but apparently my Samsung J500 does not have the option for Wi-Fi Calling. What confuses me is that the phone worked fine for a while for the Cash Register comps on 0330 numbers but then stopped and just gave silence once connected. Also, my EE bundle shows free minutes being used up when I do call, despite the silence, so the call must be connecting; I have no clue as to whether my number is received at the far end and entered into the competition. Think I might need to upgrade the phone........
    I'm pretty sure the call is connecting ok and that the automated system is working, you just can't hear it.
    If you press 1 after about 32 seconds   39 seconds (the audio has changed so the intro is a bit longer), then the call should drop about 8-10 seconds later and you'll have been entered into the competition, just like it does when the audio works.
    I've sent you a message.

    Hi,getting a bit confused,i have been calling 03308804523,is that cash reg or is 03308804629  cash register a different comp,thanks.
    @pallyman

    ...4523 is a "Hits Radio Networks Scotland Competition" cash machine competition where you must reside in Scotland and answer with the prize amount

    ...4569 is a "Bauer Radio Network Competition" cash register competition where you can reside 'anywhere' in the UK and can answer with what you like, so long as you know the amount when they ask

    This is the moneysavingexpert,com/discussion/6267922/cash-register-england-questions-answers-comments thread, if you live in Scotland and want to play both you also need the other thread for the Scottish amounts which is here

    I haven't seen any messages on this, but it goes through fine on Sky Mobile. Just takes forever to do them all!

    Good luck, everyone...
  • Called on my mobile the 0330 number, just to confirm its 100% free as will ring it every day for this competition

    Slightly longer than 32 seconds now...

    But, if you press 1 it will skip the message, except the one where it reads out your number.

    Thanks Elbison, this works a treat as the first bit is completely irrelevant.
    Thank you all who post.

    Elbison, It might be great to shave a few seconds off each time ringing the number by pressing an option, but I would hate to get the call, give the correct amount and they listen to my entry and say I did not listen to all the stuff before pressing 1 to confirm my number and could not win.
    Thank you Bridger12. I hadn't thought that I might miss out or be breaking the terms and conditions by shaving a few seconds off each call. I will be listening to the full call from now on and only be pressing "1" when prompted on the call.
