Did a quote through the refer a friend. It was £61 more than going direct!!!

Just today, I have had a (postbox) mailing, with a "refer a friend" offer. £50 to each of you. No small print to say it must be dual fuel.
Only applies to fixed rate tariffs which are a lot more expensive via £50 link than if sign up without £50 link

This must have changed as my Dad signed up via the refer a friend link and signed up for the variable tariff (and got confirmation of the refer a friend credit being added 2 months after service starting). Seems like they made a change at some point in the last week or so.. Shame as they've now lost a few friends who were going to sign up but gone elsewhere...

Having praised PfP for trouble free service, I didn't get a meter reading reminder email this month. I logged into my account, when I realised it was that time, and there was a copy of the reminder in the messages section but nothing reached my email account. I checked spam and junk but nothing there. Anyone else not get a reminder?
I didn't get reminder in May, but I thought it's because my issue with faulty meter and they simply suspended my billing. But when I logged to the account, I could see estimate bill generated and this request for reading which I never received. Must have been some glitch with their email.

Does anyone know what pfp tarrifs don't require a smart meter? I tried  finding the info on their site, but had not luck.

Green variable S2 does not have exit fees or require a smart meter.

The Citizens Advice comparison site usually has this if you click through to 'Tariff information'.

Most emails from PFP go into spam so check your spam folder. You will find them on your online account. I don't always get meter reading reminders either though I  send readings at least once a month anyway and they do use them.

PfP have never offered me a smart meter. I feel short-changed!
Probably just as well, as I get my gas elsewhere and I imagine it is better to have a matching pair of meters.

I have no problem with pfp emails going to junk folder. I received all previous meter reminders and all emails ok. Other people complained about not receiving reminder in May.
  • I've tried several times to switch online and ALWAYS throws up an error message. "Apparently" the looking into it.
Have used Three separate browsers but still no joy.
