I’m having issues with NatWest and available balance. Basically looks like pending amounts not been accounted for in available balance. Anyone else having similar issues as I’m now over my agreed overdraft because of this
Pending deposits or payments ? If you're operating that close to your OD limit I'd have expected you to be watching/controlling your spend rather then relying on the 'balance available' number
That’s why I log in to check my available amount ? But what’s the point if not accurate?
But it's never claimed to be accurate vs transactions you've made, only those that have been advised to the bank, and if there's a 3rd party involved or retailer used batch processing then it'll be less accurate

There is only one person that knows my accurate balance, and that is me. I check my accounts online to confirm that they agree with my records.

Banks can only show pending payments once the retailer has reported them. For a variety of reasons, this may not be instant.
But you would of thought that any amounts spent would be automatically deducted surely
As I said, banks can only show pending payments once the retailer has reported them.

But they were reported in my pending. That’s my point. I just think it’s bad practice of them to not show me an accurate account so what’s the point of online banking if not a true indication

According to the Natwest Help information, they are showing both, a balance with and a balance without pending transactions, in both, their online and their mobile banking.

The point of logging in to see what a bank has as our "available" balance is to ensure everything seems to be in order with what you believe it should be and note any unexpected receipts.
You use your own records to know what you have spent and what should have been received and from that know what your actual available balance is.  You can then move funds as appropriate and avoid going into the red/exceeding your overdraft.

    Talk about NatWest fanclub.

I can't see the attraction myself.
