I’ve found that it’s our high streets that are starting to thrive which is a good thing but not good for town centres. Definitely in our area the trend is towards locally owned small businesses. The majority of the shops/cafes in our area are independent.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks @redofromstart, @beanielou and @Sun_Addict.There was some excitement here in Seasideville a couple of years ago when there was a rumour that a M&S food express shop was going to open on the site of one of the bank branches that had closed in our own little high street. Unfortunately it was just a rumour and we got the ubiquitous cafe instead!🤷♀️
Yesterday I had brunch with two friends. It has turned freezing here at the moment, plus it's rained on and off all day today - autumn has arrived and the storage heaters will be going on tonight. My friend came round earlier and did my nails. I've got some ironing to do this evening as my steamer has broken now! Hate ironing!😡

Spend yesterday was my share of brunch and today's was my nails. As it's the last day of the month I've been checking over my YNAB categories ready for allocating October's categories tomorrow. The only categories in debit this month were two - Food and Eating Out/Coffees.But I was quite pleased with Food as it was only £3.92 over - being on the diet has certainly cut down on things as I'm not buying any junk food. With regard to the Eating Out bit - I was just over budget by £25, but I did have one quite spendy day on cocktails and restaurant when I took out DSis for her birthday treat so I'm pretty happy with that.WEIGHTSaturday's calorie consumption was 1145 and yesterday's was 1440 - my brunch pushed it up a bit - I had my usual poached eggs, toast and sausage plus two flat whites.Tonight I've got jumbo fish fingers, jacket spud with cheese and peas. Haven't worked the calories out yet till I cook it so will have to wait for the average weekly count till then. Have felt good this week with no side effects. It's Weekly Weigh-In Day Seven and Mounjaro Day tomorrow morning! Fingers crossed!🤞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Well done on the loss sounds like it's going well. I'm having side effects on the 2.5mg so hoping they might ease with the 5mg. Though its nothing major that I can't manage. I like you find I don't crave the sweet stuff anymore, I can go into a shop without needing to buy some chocolate!*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Thanks @Sarahwithlove - I didn't have any side effects on 2.5mg apart from a little constipation to begin with - when I went up to 5mg I had a few bouts of diarrhoea with over the first couple of weeks but nothing really after that and I'm now on my 4th and final dose before I go up to 7.5mg next week.Thinking on it, going up to 5mg from 2.5mg is doubling your dose so a bit of a jump, but next week it will only be upping by a quarter dose so fingers crossed all will be well - and for you too on your new dose. 🤞
Yesterday was nice as when I got back from gym I was about to make my lunch when I got a phone call from a friend. She and another pal were visiting the area to pay a call on someone they know who is in a local nursing home. They decided to have a spot of lunch beforehand and had just arrived in a cafe near me. She said do you fancy joining us so I popped over there and we had a good chin-wag.Today I went to get my biggish monthly shop at Aldi where the route takes me and my shopping trolley through the local park so a good walk through green surroundings.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Yesterday most of the DDs went out as it was the beginning of the month. It's annoying as I'd like all of them to come out on the same day but for some archaic reason my water company will only take DDs on the 8th or 16th of the month and I've given up with 02 as they have never acted on my instructions!
Anyhow all the YNAB categories are now funded and looking good for the month. 👍
Spends yesterday were Pilates, gym, B12 spray and some fruit from the greengrocer. Today it's just been the Aldi shop. The cash has arrived into my current account from my closed ISA which I want to use to help fund my DCS pension. I've transferred the funds over to my Marcus Easy Access account for now to get some interest as I've still got to sort out how much I can put in the pension. I'm procrastinating again which is a very bad habit of mine!I never ended up putting on the storage heaters as I felt the weather has been a little warmer and I haven't felt so cold in the evenings.I've had a reminder that my household insurance is up for renewal soon as will have to do some digging around for a decent rate.Good news - I've won this month on the PBs which will go nicely into the holiday fund.WEIGHT
My total average calories for last week totalled 1307 when I added it up on Monday night so all good.On weigh-in day yesterday I hit the scales with a 2.9lb weekly loss!😀. So just around 1stone 10lb in seven weeks!👍. My knees are feeling so much better and I am definitely walking a lot quicker and easier. Stairs feel a little easier too.Yesterday's calorie total was 1473 - exactly what Nutracheck is telling me is my upper calorie total to lose an average of 2lb per week. I did have a large jacket potato with cheese and beans yesterday and flat white whilst out at lunch and had to guesstimate - I went for a total of 765 calories to be on the safe side so had chicken tikka breast of chicken and a large salad later for for dinner.Still no snacking issues. 😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I've heard alot of people mentioning the 5th dose and using the extra in 4th dose so jump isn't so big. Don't know how feel about it.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Yes that's right @Sarahwithlove - I've heard a few people have been using the extra in the pen that's there for needle priming purposes as a fifth dose so as not to waste it. I sort of see the logic as it's not cheap if you're paying for it yourself, but I don't want to do it . I prefer to follow the maker/pharmacy's instructions and just use the four doses in each pen.I didn't have a good night's sleep last night and felt really washed out this morning. I cancelled my morning Pilates and gym sessions. Ended up going back to bed and sleeping in quite late.I'm going out soon to get a few bits from Tesco as DD is coming later and staying. She's down for the anniversary dinner on Saturday but we're out tomorrow- she's treating me to lunch and then we're off to the Van Gogh exhibition at the National Gallery which I'm looking forward to seeing. I bought the tickets a while ago.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Today's spends were Pilates and gym (I have to pay if I cancel on the day though only half price for Pilates) and whatever I spend at Tesco later. My plumber has texted me a rough estimate for the bathroom reno today - things have certainly gone up! I do have the money saved for it which is just as well. Still I want to get things sorted now in the bathroom as I don't envisage doing anything else expensive to it in the future.WEIGHT
I felt really full last night - had quite a bit of wind and was up a couple of times in the night with a runny tummy so didn't sleep well. Not sure why this was. I was fine with my lunch yesterday and my walk. I did have my fruit and yoghurt rather late and it really filled me up. Once I got the full feeling I didn't fancy any dinner so my calories were really low - 734 so not good. My water intake was down too. I'm still feeling full now and what with sleeping in I really need to eat something. Wondering whether it was the large nectarine I had with my apple that didn't go down well yesterday. 🤷♀️A bit downhearted as I was finally doing well on this dose.☹️Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
