The ‘do’ sounded lovely. I’ve never tried kir royal but keep intending to 😂.
Enjoy your chat this evening. I’m meeting a friend tomorrow. It’s good to catch up 👍
Love a wee kir royale. My mum & I tend to have one when we go to our favourite place to eat!

That's good you have a point of reference in terms of pictures and clothing. Something NSV to focus on.

Kir Royale is very nice @milann, but I think the bar staff went a little heavy on the crème de cassis!  It was very sweet!  Couldn't drink a lot of it!😂
I was always told that a teardrop of the crème de cassis is more than enough or it is like you describe. Bleugh.

    Thanks @beanielou and @Sarahwithlove. 😀
Beanie - there was definitely more than a teardrop of crème de cassis in that glass!

Well I now have covid!😡. Started to feel a little fluey last night then DSis texted to say one of our cousins who was out with us on Saturday has tested positive and DSis said she had felt rough all day today as well. I still felt fluey this morning - wondered if it was to do with the jabs I had on Monday but thought it best to test and hey presto!☹️
I went back to bed and slept till late afternoon!😳. I've had a shower now and feel more human but no appetite - which is probably a lot to do with the Mounjaro as well.  I'm going to have some soup and toast later to get something down me and have been drinking water. I managed to put some washing on and hung it out but that's it for today job wise!
I'm annoyed as I've had to cancel meeting up with a friend this afternoon and I had another pal coming to stay for the weekend on Friday, so that's gone out of the window as well. Oh well.....

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
A NSD today and I haven't done any of the things pension and insurance wise I wanted to do. Still I should have plenty of time to do these over the next week......

    WEIGHT
Calorie wise today it'll just be the soup and toast I'm planning on having later and I might try a protein drink as well.
I've let my PT know I'm out of action for tomorrow's gym session but will see how I feel for a gentle Pilates tomorrow morning as my session is over Zoom.

    Thanks @Sarahwithlove and @beanielou. 😀

I felt ok on waking this morning and did my Pilates with no trouble. As I couldn't get out to the gym I decided to find an indoor walking programme on YouTube for c15 mins to see how I got on. I found one that when completed you covered 1 mile. It actually reminded me of the old-fashioned Low Impact class as you were doing side steps, kicks etc, as well as walking. And wow - I was shocked how uncoordinated I am compared to when I last did advanced Step classes years ago!  There were arm movements as well, but tbh I found these difficult as my upper arms are still sore from the jabs on Monday, especially the covid one.
I nearly tripped over trying to grapevine, then the screen froze, then when I tried to reverse the video it took me to the YouTube adverts! 😡 I then had to wait for those to finish and found myself back at the beginning of the video!  When I fast forwarded to where I left off it froze again. I think it's a fault on the actual video as that bit seemed to be replayed a lot. So I fast forwarded a little and manage to complete. All in all it was a good session and made me realise it won't be a bad thing to do these as I'm using different muscles and I certainly need to work on coordination!😳
I'm going off to catch up with diaries after this and then clean the bathroom and then sort out the household insurance! A friend has also suggested that being housebound is a good time to write out my Christmas cards and get these out of the way so I may do this!😂

    SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Only paid for my Pilates session today and will sort out insurance as above.
🐙has sent my monthly statement through - my bill is slightly higher this month as I turned on the rad in the bathroom a few weeks ago. I'm still well in credit although this will change soon as I think I will be switching on the storage heaters sometime this week.

    WEIGHT
Calorie intake was very low yesterday at 544 although I feel back to normal today appetite wise. I had a chicken tikka breast fillet sandwich with mayo and a side of cherry tomatoes for lunch and will be having smoked haddock and mash this evening.
No Mounjaro side effects so far since I went up to 7.5mg on Tuesday so fingers crossed this will continue. 🤞

  • That's good news about the side effects. I've had a bit of nausea after my first 5mg yesterday but hoping that passes.

I think the nausea should pass fairly quickly @Sarahwithlove. Remember you've doubled your dose. Funnily enough my worst week on 5mg was my third when I felt really bloated and burpy but I think a had an odd eating day leading up to it. I was running late with my meals and I had too much fruit!  Fingers crossed you should be fine. 🤞

Sorry to hear you have Covid but good that you don’t feel too bad. Quite a few people at work have it at the moment and are not well at all.

I also used to do advanced step classes back in the day, used to love step and body attack.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
