Thank you @EssexHebridean!👍😀
Looking back when I last posted I had come down with Covid! I actually didn't feel that ill, but it was a bind having to stay in as I didn't test negative for a week.
Since I've been off the boards I've been to the annual Christmas Show day out with DSis, a concert (Steeleye Span - that'll take some folks back in time!), MJ - The Musical in the West End ( which we were all rather disappointed with - I wouldn't go back and see it again, which is my personal Gold Standard), a wonderful theatrical performance of Oedipus with Mark Strong and Lesley Manville (now that was fabulous!) - oh! and Gladiator II (great stuff!).The highlight though was a wonderful and interesting week away last month in North Italy on an art/historical tour which I loved!!
So now it's the run up to Christmas - I got the Christmas cards away at the end of last week - a bit late for me - and am going to start wrapping pressies tomorrow (getting the Bailey's ready @in_need_of_direction!😂).Tomorrow I'm off to the gym in the morning - which will get me out of the bathroom fitter's way - and then I'll get the bus into town after lunch as I want to go to M&S for a couple of last pressies.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Big expenditure has been having my bathroom renovated which will go on till next week and is getting on my nerves already. It started out with wanting my bath/shower replaced with just a shower and having shower boards to replace the tiles over the bath - I also wanted a taller loo. The whole reno has now extended to a new vanity unit/washbasin and new floor tiles as well!
Other MSE news is I transferred an ISA which came off 1 Year Fixed to a better rate with Sh@wbrook.WEIGHT
This has been going very well and on weigh in last Tuesday I'm 0.2lbs off a 3 stone loss! I'm very chuffed as I've had some large meals and drinks out since the Christmas season has swung in and still lost every week. The only week I haven't was when I weighed in after Italy, but it was only a 0.1lb gain and -c'mon- the food in Italy I had was fabulous!
I've stayed on 7.5mg of Mounjaro for the past two months and have ordered another 7.5 mg pen to take me past Christmas and the New Year. I didn't want to increase the dosage in case I got side effects over the period but to be honest 7.5mg seems to be working fine - no side effects and I'm still not snacking. Im tracking my calories every day which is the key.I'm still doing my gym and Pilates sessions and feel so much better in my knees these days.

Well done that is amazing results of the weightloss also lovely to see you back so to speak. My other half has been on it for 10 weeks now and is just about to move onto the 7.5ml we did also think we might not move up from there as once she had to overlap doses and totally lost her appetite. Thanks @beanielou!😀@in_need_of_direction - be careful! I grew up and got myself into £31,000 worth of debt!😂
Another miserable day weather wise today - raining, dark and a mist over the sea. I hit the gym this morning and did my session and then treated myself to two flat whites in one of the local cafes on my way home as the bathroom fitter was removing the bath and boarding up the floor space in readiness for the shower tray and I thought I'd stay out of the way for a bit!I made myself some lunch when I got home and then caught the bus into town with my bus pass. The Clinton's card shop that is closing down in the new year was selling off all their cards at 30% discount and 50% for Christmas cards so I bought a few as they still had some nice ones left.I was looking for a heated throw for a good friend's birthday present as she's been saying she can't seem to get warm in her flat in the evening. I had a look in The Range but they only had the fitted heated blankets and Primark and M&S didn't have any. I did get some coloured tissue paper and sellotape in The Range for wrapping Christmas presents. In M&S I bought a tin of shortbread and a nice bottle of their Calm Body Wash for a family member of DSis's OH and a tin of Belgian chocolate biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco for a neighbour who has been very kind in letting my bathroom fitter park his van in her car bay as mine is out of action at the moment.Tonight I caught up with a couple of things on TV I recorded and watched 'Dalgliesh' I also found a nice furry cream heated throw on Amazon for my friend.
My living room is contracting in size as I now have the new shower tray and glass surrounds propped up against one wall with my armchair poking out in front, plus most of the stuff that lives in my hall cupboard which I removed as the fitter needs to get to the stopcock in there! I currently have no washbasin or shower/bath so it's a strip wash in the kitchen over the weekend. Lovely! A real First World problem!
MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Spends were gym, coffees, the bits in Clinton's, The Range and M&S, plus the throw from Amazon.WEIGHT
@TallGirl - yes, since I've kept the dosage on 7.5mg I've found that the side effect of the really bloating feeling has levelled out and subsided. I've set myself a current daily calorie target of 1400 calories, but if I've had a bit of a large meal and drinks out socialising which pushes up the amount, I try and cut back the next day. I look at the weekly average calorie expenditure as my benchmark and if this averages out between 1200 to 1500 weekly I'm happy. I lost 1.3lbs last Tuesday and 1.5lbs the week before - and these were both weeks where I was out for meals and drinks. If I lose between 1-2lbs per week I'm pleased. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

A bit brighter outside on waking up in Seasideville today which was nice for a change. I woke up early, read the news online and then fell back to sleep and woke up quite late which put me out a bit.
I sort of did some housework, but half-heartedly, as everything is in a mess due to the bathroom reno.I ended up going out to buy some fruit, extra wrapping paper, an Apple voucher for DSis's OH's Christmas present, plus a large Toblerone for little nephew (who is not so little now!).I still haven't started the present wrapping (apart from a Christmas gift I buy for a friend as I had to give it to her the other week as she was flying off abroad for the holidays).I watched the Strictly final tonight and enjoyed it as the standard of dancing has been so high this year. Alas, my favourite didn't win.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Just the above bits.
WEIGHT
it was the end of my fourth calendar month on Mounjaro today and I've lost 7.3lbs this month which is a really excellent result as I've been away on a week's holiday and had a few days out eating and drinking.I use the end calendar month update more as a check on my 'Non-Scale Victories' i.e. trying on clothes that were too small before to see if they now fit. I've already manage to fit into the original jeans that were too small and today the M&S mac that wouldn't even meet across my chest I found I can now fit into comfortably. The only thing is it's a very light spring/summer coat that's not warm enough at the moment, plus I'm really not sure now whether I like it! It may well be too big for me by the time spring arrives in which case off to the dress agency it will go!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I enjoyed a nice brunch today with my friend - we went to a different cafe from normal today. It has lovely views over the estuary and we tend to frequent it more in the warmer months when we can sit outside and enjoy the weather, but it was nice to eat there again for a change.Afterwards on walking home I stopped in Superdrg to buy some micellar water. The Simple version was on offer with your loyalty card and the Listerine was also £2 off with the card, so I bought a bottle as I use this all the time.I did my Pilates session this afternoon - I changed it from my normal Thursday slot as I preferred to do the session without the noise of the bathroom fitter in the background. I caught up with my usual Sunday YouTube downloads and another diary on here (I'm trying to catch up with everyone bit by bit) and then watched the last episode of Wolf Hall this evening.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Spends today was the Superdrg purchases, Pilates and an e-voucher for a friend's birthday.I also cashed in £19.60 from T0pcashback which is going into the holiday pot.WEIGHT
On my way home from the cafe I bumped into a friend I hadn't seen for some weeks. She was really complimentary on my weight loss which was very gratifying as, although I know I'm losing weight, I can't seem to see it much myself when I look in the mirror even though everything clothes-wise is feeling looser. 😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Up and out reasonably early today as I wanted to walk down to Ald1 and get a few last bits of food in for this week before I'm off to Scotland on Saturday for Christmas and New Year. The bathroom fitters arrived just before I left so I had a couple of flat whites on my way to the supermarket to eke out the time. I tried a newish cafe that I hadn't been to before. The coffee was good and cost £3.40 each which is no dearer than the other local independent cafes. Rather nice looking pastries and cakes too, but I didn't succumb!😇Whilst in Ald1 I bought two bottles of their Cremant - Christmas thank you presents - one for my friend who does my nails and one for my PT. It's so much nicer than Prosecco and always comes out well in any of the taste tests in the media. I also bought a bottle of their own brand white chocolate type-Baileys and one that is espresso flavoured. I've never tried either of these so it will be interesting to see what I think of them.
On the way back I popped into the post office to pick up a birthday card and an Amazon parcel which contained a little insulated travel carry case I had bought to hold my Mounjaro pens. The pens have to be kept cold and will go into my hand luggage when I fly on Saturday.I had some lunch when I got home and then my friend arrived to do my nails. They're a lovely festive burgundy colour (Toastie) now and I'm very pleased with them. The fitters packed up and went home. I now have a new tiled (but ungrouted as yet) floor, the bath is out and the shower tray is in and part of the wall has had the shower boards fitted. Tomorrow the shower boards are being finished and hopefully the new toilet and vanity unit/washbasin, or at least one of these, can be fitted.I currently feel like I'm camping out at Glastonbury what with no shower or wash basin and having to flush the loo with a bucket of water!🥴
MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Today's spends were coffees, supermarket shop, birthday card, nails and lottery.WEIGHT
It was Mounjaro weekly jab today and the end of diet Week 17. I've consumed an average of 1538 calories daily over the week which I think is good considering I had a Christmas lunch blow-out, plus alcohol, last Thursday.Weigh in tomorrow and start of Week 18. 😀

You're doing really well with the weight loss, you must feel a lot better. You have my sympathy with the lack of bathroom, I remember only too well being down to flushing the loo with a bucket and using a washing up bowl to wash in when we had ours done. At least there's only one of you, with three adults in our house it was a total nightmare!
How lovely to be spending Christmas and New Year in Scotland 😊I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
You're doing great with the weight loss. I'm about to move up to 7.5mg, really hoping my side effects reduce. Otherwise I may have to consider stopping it 😫
Hope your toilet is sorted soon, that's the worst when have no working loo. I remember when I first moved into my flat and had bathroom ripped out. Peeing in a bucket during the night when you're tired isn't fun 😆*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300
