Thank you @redofromstart and @beanielou!🎅.@Justcrackingonwithit - thank you for stopping by and a merry Christmas to you! I'll have to have a mosey over to look at your diary!😀Yesterday I sorted out some clothes that I keep up here and now don't fit me. They're all old leggings, jeans and tops that will need to be recycled at the village textile bin as they're not suitable for a charity shop, even if there was one close, as some of the tops have holes made from Bear claws when they've jumped up at me!
Last night we went round to a neighbours to have Christmas Eve drinks. They had their family staying for Christmas and it was great fun! They are all very artistic and rather fey and we all had too much bubbly and it ended rather raucously! They have an acquaintance couple who always send one of those 'round robin' letters in their Christmas cards, which basically is an excuse to tell everyone how wonderful their life has been in the last year and how multi talented are their children and grandchildren! I must say it was rather 🤮. This led to a discussion on why not send an 'alternative' spoof letter next year stating how cr!p everything has been!😳
This morning DD and OH went out early to walk the Bears and left me in bed! The weather is still very wild and wet here, although mild for this time of year, and according to the weather reports will stay like this for the rest of the week.DD and I then went over to the nearest neighbours with some Christmas Scotch plus dog treats for their collie. Very sad and quiet Christmas for them though this year as their dad passed away last Saturday.DD cooked a delicious turkey dinner, the OH and I cleared up and then we opened our presents.Having a nice relax now......MSE SCRIMPY THINGS

Christmas Day calories don’t count !Sealed pot challenge 822

Happy Boxing Day!
A quiet one. The OH has left for a week's work so just me, DD and Bears. The weather is still mild - not much rain today and still windy. I've had frisbee and ball throwing with the Bears this afternoon. DD made really nice toasted sandwiches for lunch using up the Christmas meal leftovers and we had festive Bellinis with it made with the remains of the mixed fruits coulis and the last of the mince pies afterwards. We're quite full still after this so we're just going to have some picky bits for dinner.
i watched the 'Death in Paradise' Christmas special this afternoon (we watched the new Wallace and Gromit last night and it was the funniest so far, plus the Gavin and Stacey Finale!😂). I think we'll either start the new 'Strike' tonight or a few more episodes of 'The Penguin' which is very good.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
I paid off my monthly Amex Cash card today, plus I bought a really nice cream boucle wool beanie hat in the Arket Christmas sale that I've had my eye on for a while, but wasn't going to pay full price for it.My other jobs later are booking flights to Rome for the spring as DD has booked a rather lovely hotel there for my main Christmas present so I am going to book the flights over as my gift to her.I'm going up to visit when she's back in the North of England at the end of January so will be booking my train tickets - hopefully getting a good Advance fare deal.WEIGHT
I've given up trying to work out the calories for today after that toastie! Plus as @dawnybabes says in her post above, Christmas calories don't count!🤣Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Calories definitely don't count at Christmas. And there are definitely no calories in mince pies......
I'm going to watch Gavin and Stacey shortly, everyone has said how good it is.

Definitely Christmas calories don’t count 🤣 Gavin & Stacey was absolutely brilliant. The highest Christmas Day viewing figures for 16 years apparently.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I loved the Gavin and Stacey finale @Justcrackingonwithit and @Sun_Addict. It was a really brilliant and fitting ending!😀. And the last of the 'Vera' series is broadcasting over New Year. I'll really miss this - Brenda Bleythin has played a wonderful role over the years, but I don't blame her for retiring the role now she's 78!
Yesterday I had a touch of the Mounjaro blues. I'm on early shift with the Bears whilst OH is away so after I got up, let them out and fed them, I felt a bit icky stomach wise and rather washed out. So I went back to bed for a bit, got up but still didn't feel great so went back to bed again and didn't wake up till nearly 1pm! I had some scrambled egg and muffin but didn't really enjoy it. I felt a lot better by the evening - I think the last few days of rich food has upset my stomach. In the evening DD and I watched the film 'Tar' with Cate Blanchett. Very long but a really interesting film with a good script. She, as usual, was great. So this morning I'm up again early on Bear shift. It's still just getting light outside here - chilly but at least it's stopped raining at the moment.

I must admit after years of healthy eating anything greasy, salty, sweet or rich upsets me. I can no longer eat large meals either, I seem to have a cut off point where I can’t swallow any more.I hope you feel better soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

How are you feeling now @Seasidegal58, better I hope. So, the bears aren't real bears....I thought you meant grand children at first, but now I'm thinking you mean dogs....
How long are you in Scotland for?1 -
Hope you’re feeling better today. Your Christmas has sounded lovely 🎄
I had thought of waving to you across the water but decided you probably wouldn’t be at home. I was right. From Boxing Day with the sea mist and fog I couldn’t even see your part of the world. We had fog all the way home too .January spends - £587.581 -
Thanks @Sun_Addict, @Justcrackingonwithit and @milann!
Justcrackingonwithit - yes the Bears are my DD's very large, very hairy, bear-like dogs! I'm in Scotland for nearly another fortnight.Milann - I hear from my local friends that the fog around Seasideville has been quite thick and bitterly cold!Weather still wild and windy with biblical rain again last night. I saw some chinks of blue sky on Saturday morning but basically the weather has been atrocious since I arrived last weekend. We're now waiting to see if the snow predicted over NY hits us here.I felt much better yesterday and did my zoom pilates session but today the bloated feeling has came back a bit this morning although it seems to have passed today. Not much to report here as everyone in the area has been hunkering down if they've not had to leave their house. I must admit I have been enjoying the log burner whilst I've been up here.....

Apart from Pilates, nothing spent. I bought my rail tickets for my visit to DD's at end January. I always go first-class on longer rail journeys if I can get a good Advance ticket as I like the quieter, large carriages and extra leg room on the individual seats. My return cost £106 which I thought was a good price for a first-class rail tickets these days.As it's the last day of the year tomorrow I'm going to be having an annual financial reckoning and sorting out my YNAB pots.
