8 1/2 lb impressive 👏👏👏
I’m also a believer of enjoying my food when I’m out……however some weeks I’m out more than I’m in. Not necessarily anywhere fancy but I have started to become aware when I’m out 😉
The octopus coasters sound interesting 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Thank you @redofromstart and @milann!😀
Milann - you're quite right about eating out. I'm the same - one week I will be out quite a bit and others not as much. Yes - it doesn't have to be a fancy meal out sabotaging your good intentions - a large slice of cake can do damage as well!😋. Here's a pic of the coasters - I sent DD a photo and she really likes them!Today was a gym day - the weather was lovely and bright this morning on my walk there and back and quite mild for this time of year. I got some steps in too. I did some housework and laundry in readiness for my friend arriving tomorrow afternoon then went for my monthly pedicure this afternoon.Brunch when I got back from gym was my 1/2 syn breakfast - two poached eggs, slice of wholemeal toast, reduced sugar baked beans, tomatoes and HP reduced salt/sugar sauce. The sauce was the 1/2 syn! I'm making a SW tuna pasta salad later for dinner (free food) and the rest will do for brunch tomorrow.Tonight I'm looking forward to watching Stacey Solomon's decluttering programme and catching up with 'Gold' which I have recorded.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS

Thanks @in_need_of_direction and @beanielou!😀 I watched the first episode of The Gold - it's good! I finished the series of Better on iPlayer. Had mixed feelings about how the main two characters would be in real life but hey - it's a drama!
Well I got up this morning to a dodgy shower! The pump isn't working very well and the water keeps cutting out! I need the pump because the hot water pressure in my flat is abysmal! And it had to happen on the day my friend is arriving to stay!😡. I did phone and tell her and she said she'd cope! I manage to get hold of the guy who does my plumbing jobs and he's coming tomorrow morning before he goes off to his current job thank goodness! He thinks the filters on the pump may need cleaning.Apart from that just having a coffee and then I have to pop out and draw out some cash and take back a parcel. My nail girl is coming early afternoon and then my friend will be arriving later.MSE SCRIMPY THINGS
Nothing so far - although my friend and I will be going out this evening and I have my nails to pay for. Will have to stick to gin and slimline tonic at 3 sins rather than wine and watch the food! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank you @milann and @redofromstart!😀
The plumber came on Friday morning and fixed the shower - he cleaned the filters but thought the board in the shower may need rebooting so he is going to look into this for me. He only wanted £20 and I gave him an extra fiver for a pint - well worth it as if I'd got a plumber I've never used to look at it just call out charge would have been more. We also discussed the slight renovation of my kitchen. Before Christmas I decided that I wanted handleless cupboard doors, new worktops, an integrated washer/drier, black sink and electrical fittings. The Howdens guy who had arranged the previous full renovation came round and measured up but I wanted to go to the showroom first and have a look at the worktops beforehand and never got round to it as it's such a pain to get to the showroom from where I live if you don't drive. My plumber (who also fitted my kitchen and bathroom) deals with that branch of Howdens frequently so he has offered to drive me over there so I can mooch. I'll have to wait till he has some free time, but this would be really handy!😀👍
And I had a nice time with my friend who came to stay. She said she really enjoyed herself and felt it was good to get away from her house for a break. We had two delicious meals at local restaurants (fish and Italian) in the evenings, mooched around our high street during the day and went down to our local seafront for drinks in the pubs there. She went back yesterday morning and then I was out in the afternoon with DSIs, her OH, OH's sister and little nephew for afternoon tea at a local hotel overlooking the seafront. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very good and we had a glass of pink champagne too which was included in the price. They also serve a nice children's afternoon tea as well. It was £55 each for the adults, but compared with what you'd pay in London we all thought it was excellent value.Today I'm having a quiet day - reading and will be catching up on a few programmes I've recorded. But I'm afraid I've written off the Slimming World programme over the last couple of days what with all this eating and drinking!☹️. Anyway, I'm back on the programme today - I've had my half a syn brunch and will have fresh fruit and fat free yoghurt later and tonight I'm cooking a sardine spaghetti puttanesca from a SW recipe - 1 1/2 syns.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
It's been a not very scrimpy couple of days what with all this eating and drinking at pub, restaurants and afternoon tea! Only other thing spent apart from the plumber was a taxi ride - £7.Didn't win the lottery. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
